  • Patent number: 6907332
Abstract: Precision alignment of auxiliary equipment on an aircraft is accomplished by a locating tool for the aircraft inertial reference unit (IRU) attached to the auxiliary equipment mount. Aircraft attitude and heading are obtained using the IRU. The IRU is removed from its avionics tray in the aircraft and installed on the locating tool. The locating tool is connected for remote operation of the IRU and the IRU is operated to obtain attitude and heading. This attitude and heading is then compared to the IRU reading for the attitude and heading of the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 6601798
Abstract: A seat track mounted passenger interface device is provided. The device includes a base removably coupled to an aircraft seat track. A riser coupled to the base extends generally vertically away from the seat track. An interface head coupled to the distal end of the riser is located adjacent a passenger seat bottom cushion. One or more jacks and/or sockets are disposed within the interface head. Electrical leads interconnect the jacks and/or sockets with a power source. The electrical leads extend from the interface head, through the riser and base, and then through the seat track raceway.

  • Patent number: 6504093
Abstract: A cabling apparatus that is easily retrofitted into the cabin of an aircraft for allowing containment and routing of cabling. The cabling apparatus is integrated into an interior compartment of an aircraft and may be adjacent to a seat of the aircraft. The cabling apparatus comprises a cylindrical housing comprising a flexible material with a longitudinal opening along its length, thus providing two opposing edges to the opening. The opposing edges comprise first and second locking connectors for inter-engaging to lock the opening of the cabling apparatus. When the first and second locking connectors are urged into engagement the cabling apparatus is locked in a closed position such that cabling contained therein cannot be removed or accessed. In one embodiment the cabling apparatus is affixed to a cabin floor of the aircraft by a fastener.
