  • Publication number: 20190299083
Abstract: A one-sided inline skate frame for an inline skate includes a wheel mounting portion that rotatably mounts a plurality of inline skate wheels on one side of the wheel mounting portion. A box beam sidewall extends up from the wheel mounting portion. The box beam sidewall includes an outer wall section, an inner wall section, an upper wall section, and a lower wall section. The wall sections define a channel through the box beam sidewall. A forward base attachment member extends from an upper, forward portion of the box beam sidewall, and a rearward base attachment member extends from a rearward portion of the box beam wall. The forward and rearward based attachment members are configured for mounting a skate base to the frame.

  • Publication number: 20190247739
Abstract: An inline skate frame and axle assembly includes a frame having single sidewall that mounts a plurality of outwardly-extending axle assemblies. The sidewall has a wheel-mounting portion, a forward attachment portion and a rearward attachment portion. A forward attachment member includes a leg that extends outwardly from the sidewall between wheels on the skate, and a first attachment plate that cooperatively with the first attachment portion is configured to attach a skate base. A similar rearward attachment member comprises a leg and a second attachment plate that cooperatively with the second attachment portion is configure to attach the skate base. In embodiments the axle assemblies are rotationally locked to the sidewall, and include a cap member rotationally locked to the axle to prevent wheel rotation from loosening and wheel retaining connector.

  • Patent number: 10172411
Abstract: A base is provided for a ski boot comprising a sole and an outsole element that is positioned in a predetermined position relative to a longitudinal axis (L). The outsole element is positioned on the sole by using two projections that are carried by one or other of the sole and the outsole element and that locate in holes or cavities defined by the other. Preferably, the projections are carried by the outsole element and locate in holes or cavities defined by the sole. The projections may be integrally formed with the outsole element or the sole. Alternatively, they may be formed by injected pins, rivets, fasteners, t-nuts, or screws.

  • Patent number: 9326563
Abstract: A base (1) is provided for a ski boot (2) and comprises a one-piece sole (4) defining heel and toe portions (6, 7) that is adapted to be secured to one or more outsole elements (8, 9, 10). Preferably, toe and heel outsole elements (8, 9) are bonded to the toe and heel portions (6, 7) respectively to form a base (1) with a unitary construction. The sole (4) also has a fiber-reinforced composite structure wherein a majority of the fibers in at least a mid-section (7) of the sole (4) between the heel and toe portions (6, 7) are angled at an acute angle with respect to a longitudinal axis (L) of the sole (4).
