  • Patent number: 11993648
Abstract: This invention relates to methods of screening for anti-PACAP antibodies, or anti-PACAP receptor antibodies, and antigen binding fragments thereof, for potential use in treating or preventing PACAP-associated photophobia or light aversion, and therapeutic compositions containing and methods of using anti-PACAP antibodies, or anti-PACAP receptor antibodies, and antigen binding fragments thereof.

  • Patent number: 8703206
Abstract: Described herein are tissue grafts derived from the placenta. The grafts are composed of at least one layer of amnion tissue where the epithelium layer has been substantially removed in order to expose the basement layer to host cells. By removing the epithelium layer, cells from the host can more readily interact with the cell-adhesion bio-active factors located onto top and within of the basement membrane. Also described herein are methods for making and using the tissue grafts. The laminin structure of amnion tissue is nearly identical to that of native human tissue such as, for example, oral mucosa tissue. This includes high level of laminin-5, a cell adhesion bio-active factor show to bind gingival epithelia-cells, found throughout upper portions of the basement membrane.

  • Patent number: 5431810
Abstract: A system is provided for the purification of waste water which has been contaminated through the cleaning of circuit boards or other parts. The system continuously recycles rinse/wash water from an aqueous or semi-aqueous cleaner, using a separation tank and a purification unit to continuously purify and deionize the contaminated water. The separation tank removes immiscible organic compounds such as terpenes from the contaminated water to produce partially-purified water. The purification unit heats, further purifies, and deionizes the water. Fresh make-up water is automatically added as needed to assure a sufficient supply of water to the cleaner. The separation tank is designed to provide effective removal of the immiscible organic compounds and to resist solvent attack by the organic compounds and corrosion by the deionized water.

  • Patent number: 4248078
Abstract: A clamp for use in straightening automobile bodies is adapted for securement to a rocker panel and has two sets of jaws, one of which may be clamped to a top region of said rocker panel assembly and the other which may be clamped to a bottom portion of said rocker panel. Means are provided for adjusting the spacing between the two sets of jaws to accommodate different sizes of rocker panel.
