  • Patent number: 11921789
Abstract: An apparatus and method for training a search engine generates synthetic search arguments and target information that are provided to the search engine as training. A search argument simulator ingests product information and historical interaction data, determines relevant descriptors, creates compound descriptors, and creates candidate search arguments. A trainer checks the candidates against historical search arguments, identifies similar search arguments and determines likely search arguments that are used for training. An evaluator monitors search engine responses and triggers retraining of the search engine.

  • Patent number: 10172408
Abstract: A method for protecting the human head during and after an impact. This is accomplished by fabricating a layer of material that fits precisely on each individual wearer's head, and yet is so rigid that upon impact, the head will not be allowed to significantly change shape or volume, even temporarily. The structure and properties of this protective layer can be easily adapted to most helmet designs. The preferred method of forming this protective layer is to map each wearer's head shape with laser scanning, and then form the layer by means of 3D printing. Said fitted and rigid layer in very close and uniform contact with each wearers head is called an SPDI shield. The SPDI label stands for “Shape Preservation During Impact”.

  • Patent number: 5527288
Abstract: An intradermal drug delivery device for delivering a liquid drug to a subject via the subject's skin includes a housing having a lower surface provided with an adhesive coating for adhering the housing to the subject's skin. An expansible-contractible chamber within the housing defines a reservoir which is expanded upon being filled with the drug and contracted to dispense the drug. A hollow needle extends through the lower surface of the housing and has an inner end which communicates with the reservoir and an outer end which projects outwardly of the housing a short distance to penetrate through the epidermis and into the dermis of the subject's skin when the housing is adhered thereto. The device permits delivery of drugs of relatively large molecular size and at slow rates which can be precisely controlled.
