  • Publication number: 20090272016
Abstract: A method and system of labeling user controls of a multi-function computer-controlled device comprises a data storage medium with attached labeling and a user-accessible port by which the medium can be attached to the device, such that the data stored on the medium affects the actions performed by one or more of the user controls of the device, such that the attached labeling is physically visible to the user while operating the user controls of the device from a reasonable operating position, and such that this visible labeling comprises textual and/or graphical elements that describe the function of one or more of said user controls of said device, as enabled or determined partially or completely by the data. It is preferable, though not necessary to all embodiments, that the labeling be as close as is practical to the user controls, and that the layout of the labeling correspond as closely as is practical to the layout of the user controls.

  • Publication number: 20090055007
Abstract: A method and system of controlling and/or configuring an electronic audio recorder, player, processor, and/or synthesizer, comprises a network or bi-directional data port that allows such a device to be connected to a computer or computer network, as well as within the memory of the device, or within memory or other data storage attached to or integrated with the device, the software required for the user to control and/or configure the device itself from a computer, such that the software can be transferred to the computer, executed, and used to control and/or configure the device without requiring the user to have previously found and installed such control and/or configuration software on the computer through means other than those described herein.

  • Publication number: 20070264322
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of making a liposome composition. In particular, the invention relates to a method of making liposomes targeted to a specific cell receptor for delivery of a liposome-entrapped drug to the cell. In one embodiment, the process involves the incorporation of lipid-linkers to the surface of pre-formed liposomes, preferably at a higher temperature, followed by the conjugation of one or more temperature-sensitive ligands to the linkers associated with the liposome surface at a lower temperature to avoid deactivation of the temperature sensitive ligands. The present invention also is directed to a product prepared according to the foregoing process, and its use to treat subjects. The present invention is also directed to a kit containing lipid-linker, ligand and pre-formed liposome.

  • Publication number: 20060113365
Abstract: A reinforced bulk materials container having a first wall-forming blank scored to provide main panels foldably joined together at a plurality of corners with each main panel having a foldably joined bottom flap foldably. A wear reducing member attaches along the score for the bottom flaps and overlaps lateral portions of the flaps and the panels. A second wall-forming blank of corrugated paperboard defining panels laminates to the first wall-forming blank and includes members fixedly attached about a perimeter of each panel and a filler pad within the perimeter defined by the members. The wear reducing member resists the bottom edges of the container from wearing through caused movement of the container on rough surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20050260764
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and methods for the identification or authentication of liquid products by the addition of an anti-Stokes marker. The invention features an apparatus and method for the identification of a liquid, dynamic or static, that includes adding an anti-Stokes luminescent marker compound to the liquid followed by exposing the compound to a light source of a known wavelength or known wavelengths and then detecting one or more shorter wavelength emissions from the marker, where the identity of the liquid is confirmed by the emission wavelength or wavelengths that are detected and quantified. The irradiating source of light includes, but is not limited to, a laser and other conventional light sources.
