  • Patent number: 4594943
Abstract: A manually operated ink stamp having a base with an open bottom and an aperture in the top wall. A box-like frame having an open bottom is disposed within the base and has a lower edge. A sleeve is connected to the upper portion of the frame and extends upwardly through the aperture in the base and is connected to a handle. The handle and frame are biased upwardly with respect to the base by a compression spring that is interposed between the handle and the base. Located within the frame is a die holder that carries a printing die impregnated with ink, and the lower surface of the die projects downwardly beyond the lower edge of the frame. A threaded adjustment is provided for adjusting the vertical position of the die holder and die with respect to the frame.

  • Patent number: 4131273
Abstract: An apparatus for feeding record cards to and from a utilization station in a record card utilization machine comprises a support housing for a card origination hopper and a card collection hopper, which is mounted below the origination hopper. A transfer carriage is mounted for reciprocal, pivoted movement from a first position where it receives a card from the origination hopper, to a second position at the utilization station where the card is utilized, and back to the same first position where it returns the card to the collection hopper. A card feeding and returning mechanism is associated with the hoppers to feed cards to and remove cards from the carriage at different times in the sequence of operation of the apparatus, but nevetheless with the carriage at the same first position in its path of reciprocal, pivoted travel.

  • Patent number: 4042983
Abstract: A drain assembly for a sink or the like employs a plastic sleeve below a retaining flange, the periphery of the sleeve being provided with several groups of flexible fins extending out therefrom parallel to its axis, the fins of each group being located at successively increasing distances from the retaining flange. The assembly can be installed by one person from above the sink or the like simply by pushing it down into the drain aperture with a twisting motion until at least some of the fins in each group tightly engage the under surface of the drain aperture, the fins thereby readily accommodating both stainless steel and cast iron sinks or the like of various wall thicknesses.

  • Patent number: 3986700
Abstract: A frost-free hydrant includes a reservoir below the frost line which is completely sealed from ground water and which is emptied by a venturi in the valve when the hydrant is used. An indicator raised by a float warns of undue accumulation of water in the reservoir and seals the air vent to the reservoir. An actuating handle for the valve is depressed to permit water to flow and may be swung laterally in either direction to hold any adjustment from trickle to full flow. Anti-siphoning openings are included in the valve actuating rod.
