  • Patent number: 11989009
Abstract: Methods and systems to control stacked hexapod platforms for use as tools, which function with both high accuracy and high precision are provided. In some embodiments, the methods and systems include a convergence of modern control theory, and machine learning. Furthermore, some embodiments provide control algorithms to carry out autonomous in-space assembly operations using assemblers. Some embodiments provide methods and systems which combine long-reach low precision manipulators and smaller, high-precision assembler with interchangeable tools.

  • Patent number: 11948707
Abstract: A system for providing cable support may be provided. The system may comprise a conductor core, a filler that may provide integral core support, and armor. The conductor core may comprise at least one conductor. The filler may be applied around at least a portion of the conductor core. The armor may be applied around at least a portion of the filler. The applied armor may be configured to cause the filler to apply a strong enough force on an exterior of the conductor core configured to keep the conductor core from slipping down an interior of the filler due to a gravitational force. In addition, the applied armor may be configured to cause the filler to apply a strong enough force on an interior of the armor configured to keep a combination of the conductor core and the filler from slipping down the interior of the armor due to the gravitational force.

  • Patent number: 6860415
Abstract: A television mounting device for use in an automobile comprises a carrier, a platform, and two belt connectors. The television is enclosed in the carrier that can be in the form of a tote with rigid bottom and side walls. The rigid bottom wall is fixed to the platform that is removably attached to a between-front-seats console. Each of the two belt connectors consists of two complementing portions lockable to each other, each one portion being attached to a respective one of the side walls of the tote and each another portion being secured to a floor of the automobile, preferably integrally with an inside portion of a respective seat belt connector.

  • Patent number: 5512483
Abstract: Expression vector adapted for expression of cloned genes in an animal cell comprising a steroid responsive promoter, the promoter consisting essentially of a plurality of glucocorticoid response elements (GREs), a TATA box, and an initiator element containing a transcriptional initiator site located from 20 to 50 bases from the TATA box, the promoter lacking upstream elements which bind nuclear factor I, and the vector further comprising a restriction endonuclease site downstream from the promoter for insertion of DNA to be expressed from the promoter, wherein the DNA is expressed from the vector in an animal cell.

  • Patent number: 5288486
Abstract: The instant invention is directed to a process for enhancing the efficacy of alcohol-based skin antiseptics comprising adding at least one alcohol-soluble viscosifying agent to an alcohol-based disinfectant, thereby lowering its alcohol evaporation rate and markedly increasing the exposure time that disinfecting concentrations of alcohol are present on skin. The improved alcohol-based antiseptics thus obtained are also claimed.
