  • Patent number: 10842935
Abstract: In example methods and systems described, insulin therapy for a patient can be determined. At least one of a short-acting subcutaneous insulin dosage recommendation, a correction subcutaneous insulin dosage recommendation, an intravenous insulin dosage recommendation, a recommended amount of carbohydrates to be administered to the patient, or combinations thereof, can be determined. In addition, information indicating a confirmation of a nutrition intake for the patient, and a long-acting insulin-on-board for the patient can be received, and based on this information, a required long-acting subcutaneous or intravenous insulin dosage for the patient can be determined. The short-acting subcutaneous or intravenous insulin dosage recommendation can be adjusted based, at least in part, on a difference between the long-acting insulin-on-board and the required long-acting subcutaneous or intravenous insulin dosage.

  • Patent number: 10732233
Abstract: A reduced-cost apparatus for calibrating the sensitivity and orthogonality of a triaxial magnetometer, and a method for adjusting the distance between the two coils of a Helmholtz coil and other related parameters are described herein. A method can include positioning a calibrated magnetometer within a mounting fixture between two coils of a Helmholtz coil, the two coils arranged in mutually parallel planes and separated by the radius of the Helmholtz coil, the mounting fixture mounted such that a position of the mounting fixture is adjustable along an axis orthogonal to the mutually parallel planes; adjusting the position of the mounting fixture over at least some of the positions and measuring the magnetic field at each position to generate a set of magnetic field measurements associated with the positions; and adjusting the first distance based on the first set of magnetic field measurements. Additional apparatuses, systems, and methods are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20200214116
Abstract: A communicative lighting system may comprise a plurality of network connected light sources. Each light source may possess a unique identifier permitting light sources to be associated with one another. An input received by one light source may alter the light output of that light source as well as other light sources associated with the light source. The light output of a light source may be altered by changing color, brightening or dimming, blinking, adjusting which of a plurality of light emitting diodes are activated, or otherwise modifying the type or amount of light output.

  • Publication number: 20200145580
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for viewing panoramic images and videos through the selection of a particular viewing angle and window (zoom) within that panorama while allowing the viewer to simultaneously implement temporal transport control, allowing the video to be in a state of pause, play, fast forward, fast rewind, slow forward, slow rewind, or frame-by-frame. This capability may be used on video that is residing in memory on the viewer's viewing system, in a hard disk local to the viewer or in a shared location, or on a live buffered feed of video. A second capability of this apparatus and method relates to the use of a plurality of panoramic video or images from multiple synchronized cameras. In those cases, all panoramic video feeds are synchronized so that as a viewer pauses, rewinds, forwards a video in one panorama, all panoramas are time synchronized and go through the same states as the panorama being viewed.

  • Publication number: 20200051677
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable-media are provided for patient engagement and care coordination. A first graphical user interface is displayed on a display. The first graphical user interface is associated with a first functionality and is of a first size. An input for the selection of a second functionality associated with a second graphical user interface is received. The second graphical user interface is different from the first graphical user interface. In response to receiving the input, the first graphical user interface is resized to a second size. The second graphical user interface is displayed on the display with the resized first graphical user interface. The second graphical user interface is of the second size.

  • Patent number: 10528626
Abstract: The disclosure concerns systems and methods for extracting data from documents. A computer receives a message from a sender. The message has the electronic document and an electronic address of the sender. Based on the address of the sender the computer selects a map that comprises location data of data fields and determines values of the data fields by extracting data from the electronic document using the location data of the selected map. Since the computer selects the map based on the address of the sender the computer does not need to rely on the content of the electronic document to select the correct map to use, which makes the selection less prone to errors and the method can be used with existing email systems.

  • Patent number: 10438425
Abstract: An access control reader device integrates a touch pad in proximity to a radio frequency identification (RFID) antenna. A touch pad circuit board includes the RF antenna having a physical aperture and the capacitive touch pad positioned at least partially within the physical aperture of the RF antenna. This configuration allows the RFID reader to detect RFID tags in proximity to the capacitive touch pad. In order to prevent interference, such as the formation of eddy currents, the sensors of the touch pad are in the form of interrupted loops.

  • Patent number: 10387234
Abstract: A data processing apparatus 2 includes processing circuitry 4 performing processing operations which move the processing circuitry 4 between logical states. Monitoring circuitry 18 monitors logical state variables of the processing circuitry and these are supplied to prediction circuitry 30 which detects predetermined patterns within the logical states which are indicative (previously correlated with) of a future potential temporary insufficiency in the supply power to the processing circuitry 4. When such a pattern is detected, then power control circuitry 8,10 serves to trigger a mitigation response to counteract the future potential temporary insufficiency in power supply, such as temporarily reducing the clock frequency and/or boosting the supply voltage.

  • Patent number: 10328335
Abstract: A target assembly includes a target post mounted to an underside of a playfield and sized to extend through an opening in the playfield. A centering device is mounted to the target post between a first end of the target post and a second end of the target post and a centering plate secures the target post to the underside of the playfield, wherein the centerplate and the centering device form a fulcrum for the target post to pivot as a lever. Impact of a ball with any portion of the target post, and in any direction, above the playfield causes the target post to pivot about the fulcrum, where a sensing switch senses the target post movement. A biasing element coupled to the centering device biases the target post into a rest position and returns the impacted target lever towards the rest position after impact by the ball.
