  • Patent number: 11630819
Abstract: A computer implemented method for the automated construction of a computer program for allowing an application program to interface with an application database based on instructions received via the application program, the method comprising: storing a set of predefined discrete program code statements that each perform a distinct function or part function for interfacing with the database, at least one of the statements in the statement set containing one or more placeholders in which specification details can be inserted; receiving process, information and database parameter specifications; and responsive to receiving the specifications, automatically evaluating the specifications and thereafter implementing predefined embedded logic that is driven by the evaluation to: i) select a plurality of discrete program code statements from the stored set; ii) edit the selected discrete program code statements, where applicable, to insert specifications into the placeholders; and iii) combine the selected discrete

  • Publication number: 20070175165
Abstract: A construction beam useful for building bridges, commercial or industrial buildings, or the like has an elongated shell with an interior volume. A conduit lies within the interior volume of the beam that has profile extending along a longitudinal direction of the beam. A compression reinforcement fills the interior volume of the conduit. The beam may include a shear connection device, where one end of the shear connection device is positioned in the compression reinforcement, and the other end extends outwardly through the shell.

  • Patent number: 6145270
Abstract: A composite beam system that can be used for the framing system in bridges or buildings and provide enhanced corrosion protection includes a fiber reinforced plastic beam shell with compression and tension reinforcement. The compression reinforcement consists of portland cement concrete which is pumped into a profiled conduit within the beam shell. The conduit for the compression reinforcement is profiled to optimally resist the internal forces in the composite beam for a particular loading. The tension reinforcement consists of carbon, glass or steel fibers anchored by wrapping around the ends of the compression reinforcement. The positioning of the tension reinforcement is optimally designed to equilibrate the internal forces in the compression reinforcement. Each composite beam has a series of internal vertical stiffeners which are perpendicular to the sides of the beam shell. The composite beams can be used in the construction of bridges and buildings using conventional erection techniques.

  • Patent number: 4056293
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a segmented retainer for rollers of a roller bearing. The retainer includes a pair of end rings having circumferentially spaced separator bars extending therebetween. The separator bars are fixedly secured to the end rings against displacement and rotation. Each separator bar has a configuration wherein at each side thereof there are two radially spaced bearing surfaces separated by a lubricant pocket. The convex shape of the bearing surfaces, in conjunction with the convex rolling surfaces of associated rollers provide for suitable lubricant pockets and lubricant flow thereby providing adequate lubrication between the roller and the separator bars. The bars are secured to the end rings by a plurality of different means including welding and interfitting mechanical interlocks.
