  • Publication number: 20230151287
Abstract: A first voltage source produces a first voltage such as an AC voltage. Further, a first electrode of a hydrogen generation system conveys the first voltage. The first voltage conveyed over the first electrode generates low-temperature plasma extending between the first electrode and the mass of material. Presence of the low-temperature plasma releases gas from the mass of material.

  • Patent number: 11233379
Abstract: Lean-burn engines are important due to their ability to reduce emissions, increase fuel efficiency, and mitigate engine knock. Embodiments of a spark plug with a nanostructured electrode extend the lean flammability limit of natural gas. A nano-/micro-morphology modification is applied on a surface of the spark plug electrode to increase its surface roughness. Measurements indicate that the lean flammability limit of spark-ignited methane can be lowered by modulating the surface roughness of the spark plug electrode with nanostructures.

  • Patent number: 8561878
Abstract: Techniques for linear cell stringing are disclosed. In some embodiments, a plurality of sets of solar cells are linearly positioned, a plurality of tabbing ribbon segments are placed in contact with the plurality of sets of solar cells, and the plurality of sets of solar cells and corresponding plurality of tabbing ribbon segments are soldered together to form a plurality of solar cell strings. In some cases, the plurality of solar cell strings is substantially simultaneously formed in parallel.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 27, 2011
Date of Patent: October 22, 2013
    Assignee: Banyan Energy, Inc.
Inventors: David Sheldon Schultz, John Hunter Mack, Kenneth Evan Rakestraw
  • Patent number: 8412010
Abstract: An optical concentrator having a concentrating element for collecting input light, a redirecting element for receiving the light and also for redirecting the light, and a waveguide including a plurality of incremental portions enabling collection and concentration of the light onto a receiver. Other systems replace the receiver by a light source so the optics can provide illumination.
