  • Patent number: 4355280
Abstract: An accumulator fluid indicator useful to measure the linear displacement of a piston without the use of a dynamic seal. A Hall Effect sensor mounted on the outer surface of the accumulator is used to sense the piston location while isolated from the fluid flow. Temperature and pressure sensors may be used to supplement the accuracy of the position indicator by compensating for errors due to changes in temperature or pressure applied to the pressurant.
