  • Publication number: 20230287727
Abstract: An example window operator assembly comprises a motor, communication circuitry, and processor circuitry. The communication circuitry being configured to provide a first type of wireless communications and a second type of wireless communication with a first wireless communication system and a second wireless communication system. And, the processor circuitry being configured to identify connection loss between the communication circuitry and the first wireless communication system, and in response, cause the communication circuitry to switch to the second wireless communication system and cause the window operator assembly to perform an action.

  • Publication number: 20230287707
Abstract: A lock assembly comprises a driving member, a drive assembly, and an engaging member. The drive assembly comprises a drive connector operatively connected to the driving member, a lead screw operatively connected to the drive connector, a carriage configured and arranged to move along the lead screw, and an elongate member operatively connected to the carriage. The driving member is configured and arranged to rotate the drive connector, and the drive connector is configured and arranged to rotate the lead screw. Rotation of the lead screw moves the carriage along the lead screw and the elongate member moves with the carriage between locked and unlocked positions. The engaging member is configured and arranged to selectively engage the elongate member in the locked position.

  • Patent number: 11002057
Abstract: A window operating system moves a window sash between an open position and a closed position. A window has a top member operatively connected to a bottom member by a first side member and a second side member to form a frame. The sash is mounted to the frame for relative movement between the open and closed positions. The window operating system comprises an operator and an elongate member. The operator has a rotating member, and the elongate member provides rotational movement to the rotating member of the operator and movement of the elongate member rotates the rotating member thereby opening and closing the sash.

  • Patent number: 8434265
Abstract: A window operator moves a sash between an open and closed position. The window operator includes a track member and a sliding member. A gear member has a second end adapted and configured to be operatively connected to the window sash and a first end has a plurality of radially spaced gear members. A rack member is positioned proximate the track and is positioned to engage the gear teeth. One of the gear members and rack member is operatively connected to the sliding member. The other is positioned proximate the track and has no longitudinal movement relative to the track. A drive member is connected to the sliding member, wherein actuation of the drive member moves the sliding member longitudinally and causes the gear teeth to engage the track, thereby resulting in rotational movement of a gear member to move the sash between an open and closed position.

  • Patent number: 8365470
Abstract: A lead screw window operator (100) utilizes a lead screw (110) that is in tension whether the operator is being used to open or close a window assembly (10). The lead screw window operator (100) may include a nut (170) that has edges sufficiently close to first and second support surfaces to prevent excess rotation of the nut (170). Also, the lead screw (110) may have a splined end to operatively connect to a first gear that has a splined profile to allow the gear to slide along the lead screw along a longitudinal axis.
