  • Patent number: 11970381
Abstract: Methods of sealing a metallic container are provided. More specifically, the present invention relates to methods that reduce the amount of force applied to a metallic bottle to seal the metallic bottle with a ROPP closure. The methods include use of a capping apparatus that may include more thread rollers than known capping apparatus. Optionally, the thread rollers may use more forming passes to form threads on the ROPP closure. The capping apparatus may also rotate one or more of the ROPP closure and the metallic container in a closing direction before the metallic container is discharged. In one embodiment, the thread rollers form the closure threads before or after a pilfer roller applies a sideload to the ROPP closure.

  • Publication number: 20240097696
Abstract: Example channel circuits, data storage devices, and methods for asynchronous sampling from an oversampled analog-to-digital converter are described. The channel circuit may include an analog-to-digital converter configured to generate an oversampled digital signal from an analog data signal using a sample rate that is an integer multiple of the baud rate of the channel circuit. A digital sample interpolator may then interpolate interpolated digital signal values from multiple signal values of the oversampled digital signal and select values at baud rate to generate a baud rate digital signal. The baud rate digital signal may be used by an iterative detector in a timing loop and, once a target timing is achieved, for the iterative detector to detect data bits from the interpolated digital signal.

  • Publication number: 20240082411
Abstract: The present disclosure provides T cell modulatory polypeptides (T-Cell-MPs) comprising a chemical conjugation site at which a KRAS epitope has been conjugated and at least one immunomodulatory polypeptide sequence that may be selected to exhibit reduced binding affinity to its cognate co-immunomodulatory polypeptide. The T-Cell-epitope conjugates are useful for modulating (e.g., increasing proliferation or cytotoxic activity) the activity of T cells specific to the conjugate epitope, and accordingly for use as therapeutics. The T-Cell-epitope conjugates find use in treating a variety of cancers associated with KRAS.

  • Publication number: 20240067700
Abstract: The present disclosure provides T-cell modulatory polypeptides (TMPs) that comprise a MOD, class I HLA polypeptides (a class I HLA heavy chain polypeptide and a ?2 microglobulin polypeptide), and a KRAS peptide (e.g., a KRAS peptide comprising a cancer-associated mutation) that presents an epitope to a T-cell receptor. A TMP is useful for modulating the activity of a T cell, and for modulating an immune response in an individual.

  • Patent number: 4711984
Abstract: Ultrasonic transducers spring biased into seating engagement in a pair of opposed spot welding tips transmit and receive ultrasonic waves and associated circuitry measures the time of flight between the transducers which is a function of tip separation, workpiece temperature and nugget size which are indicators of the progress of a weld. The rate of change of flight time is measured and the weld current is adjusted early in the weld cycle to maintain a preset rate of weld growth. The weld current is terminated later in the cycle if the transit time rate falls below another preset value. Otherwise the weld current and termination time follow a standard schedule.

  • Patent number: 4680677
Abstract: A freestanding luminaire includes a floor-supported frame having a base adapted to rest on the floor, an overhead beam arrangement and an upright member connected at its lower end to the base and at its upper end to the beam arrangement so as to support it in a cantilevered fashion over a work surface. The beam arrangement includes a central longitudinally extending beam and a plurality of cross beams attached to the central beam at spaced locations therealong and extending in transverse relationship to the longitudinal extent of the central beam. The central beam is attached at one end to the upper end of the upright member of the frame and extends in transverse relationship outwardly therefrom. The luminaire also includes a plurality of lamps being preferably of the type which use fluorescent tubes, mounted to and extending between the cross beams.
