  • Patent number: 11931623
Abstract: An apparatus enabling a user to perform a simulated bicycling exercise includes a frame, two mounting points defining an axis, the two mounting points comprising an upper rear mounting point comprising an upper rear rotating joint and a lower front mounting point comprising a pivoting connection arrangement proximate to and interacting with the frame, the pivoting connection arrangement comprising at least one resistive element configured to provide resistive force returning the frame to a neutral centered orientation from an off-centered orientation and pedals associated with a wheel and the frame, the pedals enabling the user, when facing forward, to apply force to the pedals and rotate the wheel. The frame is configured to receive forces from the user and dissipate the forces into frame leaning forces such that the user has an ability to cause the frame to pivot about the two mounting points by leaning to one side.

  • Patent number: 11932981
Abstract: A counterweight assembly for counteracting vibrations or other forces in an appliance or machine includes a body and a funnel coupled to the body. The body includes an outer surface and an inner surface that defines an internal cavity that is adapted to receive a heavy aggregate material to form a counterweight. The funnel extends outwardly from the body and is adapted to deliver the heavy aggregate material to the internal cavity of the body.

  • Patent number: 11933789
Abstract: A device includes: a first portion configured to be grasped by the hand of the user, and a second portion defining a reservoir containing a control material, wherein the control material contains a target analyte in a known or predetermined concentration. A method of verifying the accuracy of an analyte monitoring device includes receiving a fluid sample, identifying the fluid sample as a control solution, and analyzing the fluid sample.

  • Patent number: 11925902
Abstract: A thermally reflective membrane apparatus comprises a housing structure, and a thermally reflective membrane contained within the housing structure. The thermally reflective membrane comprises a semipermeable structure, and a porous, thermally reflective structure physically contacting the semipermeable structure. The porous, thermally reflective structure comprises discrete thermally reflective particles, and a binder material coupling the discrete thermally reflective particles to one another and the semipermeable structure. A fluid treatment system and method of treating a fluid are also described.

  • Patent number: 5684355
Abstract: A lamp is provided with a mounting arrangement for achieving a precise alignment. The lamp includes a double-ended light source, a metal strap clamping one end of the light source at two locations, and a plastic base having an internal opening wherein the metal strap is engaged. The metal strap includes two clamping members between which the light source is clamped and a cap member attached to the clamping members. The cap member has tabs adapted for engaging the internal opening of the plastic base and gimbaling the light source to align the light source with respect to the plastic base. The clamping members are joined together at a point between the to clamping locations such that a spring force clamps the light source. The clamping members are also oriented at an angle of about 45 degrees from vertical to better withstand both vertical and horizontal loads.

  • Patent number: 4753704
Abstract: The use of radiant energy and a radiation curable adhesive to bond components to glass where direct irradiation proves impossible is disclosed. The process utilizes the light scattering properties of glass to convey radiant light energy along an axis generally perpendicular to the incident radiant light resulting in cure of adhesive in shadow areas. The process finds particular utility in the bonding of light opaque end caps to fluorescent tubes.
