Abstract: A hanging emergency light assembly comprising a portable housing which includes a compartment for accommodating at least one battery for supplying electric power, and opposite first and second light emitting ends. The first light emitting end of the portable housing is provided with a strobe lamp and a red colored lens for emitting a red colored strobe light. The second light emitting end of the portable housing is provided with a high intensity light bulb and a clear lens for emitting blinking high intensity light. The hanging emergency light assembly further comprises first and second switches for independently activating and deactivating the strobe lamp and the high intensity light bulb, respectively.
