  • Patent number: 4544994
Abstract: A bracket mount fits directly over one end of a rectangular housing 17a of a portable engine-driven electric generator 15a and supports a flood lamp 10a powered by generator 15a. A bracket includes a frame 20a extending around and fitted to a generally rectangular end of generator housing 17a. Lamp head 10a has a supporting knuckle 50 with a mounting arm 52 fixed in a socket 60 in an upper region of bracket 20a so that lamp head 10a can pivot on a horizontal axis through knuckle 50 relative to mounting arm 52 and bracket 20a. Lamp head 10a can be folded under socket 60 so that the front face of the lamp is close against bracket 20a and the end of generator housing 17a for protective storage, and lamp head 10a can be pivoted to upwardly aimed positions accommodated by the downward slope of socket 60. Socket 60 and mounting arm 52 are hollow and provide a conduit for electric conductors leading from generator 15a to lamp head 10a.

  • Patent number: 4464706
Abstract: A bracket mount fits directly over one end of a rectangular housing 17 of a portable engine-driven electric generator 15 and supports a flood lamp 10 powered by generator 15. A bracket 20 includes a frame extending around the end of generator housing 17 and projections 21 that reach back to mounting locations where bracket 20 is screwed to generator 15. A gooseneck 30 secured to an upper region of bracket 20 curves downward and outward in a gooseneck shape and terminates in a knuckle that supports lamp head 10 for vertical pivotal movement. Lamp head 10 can be folded under gooseneck 30 so that the front face of the lamp is close against bracket 20 and the end of generator housing 17 for protective storage, and lamp head 10 can be pivoted to upwardly aimed positions accommodated by the curvature of the upper side of gooseneck 30. Gooseneck 30 is hollow and provides a conduit 40 for electric conductors leading from the generator to the lamp head.
