Patent number: 11989009Abstract: Methods and systems to control stacked hexapod platforms for use as tools, which function with both high accuracy and high precision are provided. In some embodiments, the methods and systems include a convergence of modern control theory, and machine learning. Furthermore, some embodiments provide control algorithms to carry out autonomous in-space assembly operations using assemblers. Some embodiments provide methods and systems which combine long-reach low precision manipulators and smaller, high-precision assembler with interchangeable tools.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2021Date of Patent: May 21, 2024Assignee: United States of America as represented by the Administrator of NASAInventors: James H. Publication number: 20240148253Abstract: A catheter device for crossing occlusions includes an elongate body, a central lumen extending within the elongate body from the proximal end to the distal end, a rotatable tip at the distal end of the elongate body, and an OCT imaging sensor. The rotatable tip is configured to rotate relative to the elongate body. The OCT imaging sensor includes an optical fiber coupled with the rotatable tip and configured to rotate therewith. A distal end of the elongate body includes one or more markers configured to occlude the OCT imaging sensor as it rotates. A fixed jog in the elongate body proximal to the distal end of the catheter positions the distal end of the catheter at an angle relative to the region of the catheter proximal to the fixed jog and is aligned with the one or more markers on the elongate body.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2024Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: John B. Publication number: 20240098493Abstract: Techniques for identifying a trusted SSID for a wireless network are disclosed. Prior to establishing a connection with a wireless network, a first network message is received from a first access point (AP) identifying a first service set identifier (SSID) associated with a first wireless network, a second network message is received from a second AP identifying a second SSID associated with a second wireless network, and a visual similarity is determined between a first visual representation of the first SSID and a second visual representation of the second SSID. The second SSID is designated as suspicious based on the determined visual similarity.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Jay K. Patent number: 9037609Abstract: A query analysis tool determines whether a list of columns within a database is accessed by a query without running the query against the database. Instead of using the database, the query is sent to a query analysis tool that uses a list of columns of interest to resolve ambiguity in the query and then determine if the query potentially accesses the list of columns of interest. If the ambiguity cannot be resolved, then the ambiguous part of the query is determined to not access any of the columns from the list of columns.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2012Date of Patent: May 19, 2015Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Graham T. Tibbitts, Nathaniel Jonah Beckford, John K. White
