  • Publication number: 20230313890
Abstract: A valve having a nose joined to a strike face. The strike face is configured to engage a tapered sealing surface formed on a component having a central fluid bore. The valve and component are configured to be installed within a fluid end. When the strike face of the valve engages the tapered sealing surface of the component, the nose is installed within the central fluid bore of the component. In operation, fluid is restricted from flowing between the strike face and the tapered sealing surface until fluid pressure has pushed the nose entirely out of the central fluid bore, thereby increasing the cross-sectional area available for fluid flow.

  • Publication number: 20230258291
Abstract: A manifold assembly configured for use with a fluid end used in oil and gas operations. The manifold assembly comprises upper and lower manifolds supported on side posts such that the manifolds and posts define a central opening. In operation, the fluid end is positioned within the central opening such that the manifold assembly surrounds the fluid end. The manifold assembly is not attached to the fluid end other than flexible conduits interconnecting the fluid and the manifolds. • Publication number: 20230252815
Abstract: The described techniques support a sensing scheme for electromagnetic excitation in ultrasonic imaging sensors. A biological tissue may be sensed and imaged using an electromagnetic excitation process to generate ultrasonic waves, such as, within the tissue. A component of a device may generate one or more pulses of electromagnetic waves, which may encounter and enter the biological tissue. The electromagnetic waves may excite the biological tissue and generate ultrasonic waves via expansion and contraction of the tissue upon heating. The ultrasonic waves may propagate within the biological tissue and may be sensed by an ultrasonic receiver array. The ultrasonic waves may be converted to pixel image data of a biometric image and may be used for biometric authentication. This process may be repeated to reconstruct an image of the finger at multiple plane slices of the finger.

  • Patent number: 11703404
Abstract: This invention comprises a device for measuring root pulling force (RPF) in a plant. The RPF device comprises a plant grasping mechanism, as well as a force measurement sensor. In certain embodiments, the device is automatic, so that the “hand of man” is not required to exert force on the plant while the root pulling force of the plant is being measured. Also disclosed is a root pulling force motion mechanism, which brings the RPF device into proximity of a plant to be measured. Further disclosed is a method for measuring root pulling force of a plant.

  • Publication number: 20230224363
Abstract: Technology is disclosed for bridging clouds of computing devices for compute and data storage. The technology can receive a virtual routing table (VRT), wherein the VRT indicates an association with a virtual local area network (VLAN) and defines neighbors for each route wherein at least one neighbor is defined for each of the two different cloud service providers, wherein the route definition creates a private transitive network between the neighbors; receive from a first node a first message destined for a second node; determine that the first message employs the route specified by the VRT; forward the first message to the second node; receive from a third node a second message destined for the second node; determine that the second message does not employ the route specified by the VRT; and fail to forward the second message to the second node.
