  • Patent number: 11925335
Abstract: A surgical instrument includes a rotatable electrical coupling assembly having a first part and a second part that electrically couple and rotate relative to each other. The second part is carried by and rotates with a tube collar coupled to a transducer. A portion of the transducer is inserted through an aperture of the second part, but does not contact the second part. The first part of the assembly may electrically couple to the second part via pogo pins, brush contacts, or ball bearings. Alternatively, the first part may comprise conductive channels formed in the casing. The second part may comprise a rotatable drum with a conductive trace. In some versions, one or more components may comprise MID components. In another version, the rotatable electrical coupling assembly comprises a rotatable PC board and brush contact. Further still, a circuit board may be provided with the transducer inside a transducer casing.

  • Publication number: 20080173456
Abstract: A curb shoe assembly for street grading and curb formation is provided. The curb shoe assembly includes a channel member having a front side, a back side, a bottom side and a central trough sized for receiving the bottom edge of a construction vehicle mow blade. The curb shoe further includes a grading blade which extends downward from the bottom side of the channel member. The grading blade includes a laterally extending portion and an angled portion. The angled portion includes a vertically extending edge for confronting a curb shoulder. Preferably, the angled portion is removable for replacement due to damage. The curb shoe includes a pair of straps for affixing the curb shoe's channel member to a mow blade. In addition, the curb shoe assembly includes a shoe having a horizontally extending plate. The horizontally extending plate is positioned adjacent to the grading blade so as to rest upon a street curb during operation.

  • Patent number: 5446440
Abstract: A centrally powered, low voltage emergency sign and control circuit using high voltage AC power simultaneously providing continuous low voltage DC power to a plurality of emergency signs connected in parallel through a plurality of branch circuits and to continuously charge a single battery backup to all of the emergency signs should AC power fail. Each emergency sign is illuminated by electroluminescent diodes which are individually connected in parallel and in series throughout the emergency sign. When a fire alarm or emergency situation exists, the control circuit pulses the low voltage DC power to the emergency signs causing the LEDs to flash regardless if the control circuit is powered by high voltage AC power or backup battery power.

  • Patent number: 4504833
Abstract: The invention includes a method and apparatus for detecting geophysical phenomena by the use of a synthetic pulse radar. A radar transmitter generates a plurality of component signals of different frequencies which approximate at least a portion of the Fourier transform of a radar short pulse. These component signals are transmitted simultaneously for modulation by the geophysical phenomena, and the modulated component signals are substantially simultaneously received in a receiver. The receiver divides the component signals, and as to each determines representative parameters. The invention also includes a heterodyne receiver which operates with a fixed IF frequency and incorporates a single frequency quadrature system.
