  • Patent number: 5164534
Abstract: A secondary recoil absorption mechanism absorbs some of the recoil energy associated with the firing of the firearm. The secondary recoil absorption mechanism includes a roller mounted on the breech block to engage a ramp element pivotally mounted on the frame of the firearm. The ramp element includes a rounded corner against which the roller abuts. The ramp element is connected to a cocking lever by a roller mounted in a guide groove defined on a cocking lever. The cocking lever is moved manually to move the ramp rounded corner out of the path of movement of the breech block mounted roller and to move the breech block into a cocked position held behind a sear. The guide groove includes a plurality of sections.

  • Patent number: 4938116
Abstract: The present invention relates to a firearm, generally of the automatic or semi-automatic type, having a reciprocating breech block normally biased into closed position by a primary recoil absorption system including a spring, the improvement comprising providing a secondary spring-biased recoil absorption system cooperating with the primary one during a portion of the retraction stroke of the block to slow down the movement of the latter before becoming inactive while the primary system slows the block to a stop and reverses its direction and then becoming active to once again cooperate with the primary system during a portion of the return stroke of the block to speed up its return to its original position.

  • Patent number: 4543744
Abstract: A growing chamber defined by sidewalls and a top spanning the chamber inside the walls. The top is mounted to be vertically moveable to change the chamber height. The walls and top are coated to be ninety percent reflective. A horticultural lamp is mounted on the top and a timer turns it on and off. Carbon dioxide gas is supplied to the chamber the gas being controlled to be supplied intermittently, but only while the lamp is on.
