  • Patent number: 11982008
Abstract: An electroplating system has a vessel assembly holding an electrolyte. A weir thief electrode assembly in the vessel assembly includes a plenum inside of a weir frame. The plenum divided into at least a first, a second and a third virtual thief electrode segment. A plurality of spaced apart openings through the weir frame lead out of the plenum. A weir ring is attached to the weir frame and guides flow of current during electroplating. The electroplating system provides process determined radial and circumferential current density control and does not require changing hardware components during set up.

  • Patent number: 11791468
Abstract: An electrode material useful as a dry in place deposit comprising at least one metal chelating polymer; an active material capable of reversibly intercalating lithium ions; a plurality of electrical conductor particles; a binder polymer. The electrode material is formed into a slurry using a non-aqueous solvent. The metal chelating polymer may be a reaction product of a polyphenolic polymer; an aldehyde, a ketone, or mixtures thereof; and an amine. The electrode material slurry is deposited on a current collector and dried to form a positive electrode in a secondary lithium ion battery. The deposited electrode material has high flexibility, adhesion to the current collector, resistance to electrolyte damage, and low electrical resistance. The electrode material forms a superior positive electrode at a relatively low additional cost and with no increase in process complexity.

  • Publication number: 20210309880
Abstract: Disclosed is a process that utilizes a modified Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization (ATRP) process to form a water-resistant coating in situ on a substrate. The process uses solvent soluble monomers, initiator and ligand to form a solvent insoluble water-resistant polymer coating that is deposited directly onto a metal trace on the substrate. The process is especially useful for providing a water-resistant coating to the circuits on a printed circuit board, wearable electronics, and biological sensors. The process can be run in an aqueous solvent in the open atmosphere and does not require a vacuum, heating steps or masking. The coating is deposited only on the metal trace and closely adjacent areas of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 9469903
Abstract: Disclosed is a neutral to alkaline inorganic conversion coating composition that can be applied directly to a metal surface without a phosphatizing pre-treatment and that provides significant corrosion protection to the surface. The coating composition is very versatile and can accommodate addition of a wide variety of organic polymers which can be added directly to the coating composition thus eliminating multistep coating processes.

  • Patent number: 6428762
Abstract: Carbon nitride powder prepared by solid-state reaction between cyanuric chloride or its fluoro analogue and lithium nitride. The determined, by elemental analysis, atomic N/C ratio (1.33) in the synthesized material is consistent with C3N4 stoichiometry. Combined material characterization data, obtained by FTIR, Raman, UV-Vis, (13C) MAS NMR, XPS, TGA/DTA and pyrolysis-EIMS methods, provide substantial evidence for graphite-like sp2-bonded structure composed of building blocks of s-triazine rings bridged by the three-fold coordinated nitrogen atoms in the bulk carbon nitride.
