  • Publication number: 20240089206
Abstract: A computing device includes an appliance status table to store at least one of reliability and performance data for one or more network functions virtualization (NFV) appliances and one or more legacy network appliances. The computing device includes a load controller to configure an Internet Protocol (IP) filter rule to select a packet for which processing of the packet is to be migrated from a selected one of the one or more legacy network appliances to a selected one of the one or more NFV appliances, and to update the appliance status table with received at least one of reliability and performance data for the one or more legacy network appliances and the one or more NFV appliances. The computing device includes a packet distributor to receive the packet, to select one of the one or more NFV appliances based at least in part on the appliance status table, and to send the packet to the selected NFV appliance. Other embodiments are described herein.

  • Publication number: 20160249758
Abstract: Means of partially enclosing a bottle and providing attachment to the human hand are disclosed. A single panel of material forms the main body of the device and is arranged such that a bottle may be securely enclosed. A protruding panel integral to the main body panel accepts the insertion of multiple fingers or a portion of a human hand to allow attachment of the bottle and holder to the user without the need to continuously grip the bottle. Length adjustment of the hand attachment panel is provided in such a way that multiple hand/finger sizes and securement forces may be accommodated. The preferred material for the device allows elastic adjustment for multiple bottle sizes, provides insulation of the bottle contents and protects the hand from discomfort due to hot or cold liquid within the bottle. Surfaces of the device allow display of a graphic or message.

  • Patent number: 7361032
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for an improved portable memory device. In one embodiment, a portable memory device is provided comprising a housing having a proximal opening and a distal opening. A slidable unit may be at least partially mounted in the housing. The slidable unit may comprise of a memory device slidably mounted in the housing, wherein the memory device has a data connector mounted on one end and a push button on the other end. A resilient member may be coupled to the slidable unit. Moving the slidable unit from a first position to a second position will simultaneously extend the data connector from the housing while also loading the resilient member to urge the data connector back into the housing. The portable memory device may include a latch coupled to the housing for holding the slidable unit in the second position. In the present embodiment, a user may press a release button so that the latch will allow the connector to be automatically drawn back into the housing.
