  • Patent number: 9415971
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a reusable adjustable coil protector for a plurality of differently sized coils. The adjustable coil protector has an unassembled generally linear resting configuration and plurality of different assembled generally cylindrical configurations. The adjustable coil protector is formed and maintained in the generally linear unassembled configuration for storage and transport before and after use. The adjustable coil protector is bent and wrapped around itself, positioned, and securely locked in a user selected one of the plurality of different assembled generally cylindrical configurations prior to mounting the adjustable coil protector on a coil. The adjustable coil protector is configured to reduce inventory, shipping, and warehousing space needed for the adjustable coil protector because the adjustable coil protector can be used on a plurality of differently sized coils or the same size coils with different sized central openings.

  • Patent number: 9090388
Abstract: A void board is configured for placement between adjacent horizontal layers of bricks to maintain an opening in a lower of the layers. The void board includes a relatively thin base element having first and second opposing sides and a plurality of ribs extending along a length of the base element. The ribs extend from the first and second sides, generally transverse to the base element. The ribs are positioned such that the ribs that extend from the first side of the base element are offset from the ribs extending from the second side of the base element. The base element has a longitudinally extending central region, between a closest pair of ribs, that is devoid of ribs. A bundled load of objects have the void board positioned therein and a method of bundling a load of objects are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8443975
Abstract: An edge protector includes a first section formed from a laminate of paper or paperboard plies. The first section being formed in an angled configuration defining first and second legs and defining a first apex therebetween. In addition, the first apex defines first inside and second outside corners and the first and second legs and the first apex define a first width. The edge protector also includes a second section formed from a laminate of paper or paperboard plies overlying a core element. The core element and laminate are formed in an angled configuration similar to the first section. The second section defines third and fourth legs and defines a second apex therebetween. In addition, the second apex defines third inside and fourth outside corners, and the third and fourth legs and the second apex define a second width that is less than the first width. The plies overlying the core element wrap around the fourth outside corner and extend inwardly toward the third inside corner.

  • Patent number: 7661579
Abstract: A new and improved packaging container, and a method and apparatus for fabricating the same, comprises a laminated structure comprising a plurality of plies formed from suitable paper or similar materials. The plurality of plies, having a predetermined width dimension, are bonded together in a substantially flattened state by glue which is applied in predetermined, axially extending, laterally staggered patterns.

  • Patent number: 6989184
Abstract: An extruded polymeric void-board is configured for placement between adjacent horizontal layers of bricks to maintain an opening in a lower layer of the bricks. The void-board is formed as a relatively thin planar element having first and second surfaces. A plurality of parallel ribs extend from and generally transverse to the first side. The ribs have a predetermined height to width ratio and have a height that is less than a thickness of the planar element. The ribs being formed parallel to one another. A method for forming a bundle of bricks with the void-board is also disclosed.
