  • Patent number: 5332368
Abstract: An air compressor of compact design which has the capability of providing a relatively high pressure, relatively low volume output, and which is capable of operating over an extended range of speeds. A drive pulley is connected to a crankshaft structure and the crankshaft structure is connected to a reciprocating piston via a connecting rod. The piston reciprocates in a cylinder bore that has side inlets for admitting air and the piston compresses the air which is forced through a reed valve mechanism into an output chamber that communicates with an air pressure regulator for providing a constant desired output pressure.

  • Patent number: 5275539
Abstract: A lubricant pump for supplying lubricant to an internal combustion engine, the pump comprising a housing defining a pump chamber, an inlet which is adapted to communicate with a source of lubricant and which communicates with the pump chamber, and an outlet which is adapted to communicate with the internal combustion engine and which communicates with the pump chamber, the housing also at least partially defining a fluid chamber, a source of fluid under pressure, a solenoid for selectively and alternatively affording and preventing communication of the fluid chamber with the fluid source, and a pumping member for drawing lubricant into the pump chamber in response to communication of the fluid chamber with the fluid source and for forcing lubricant out of the pump chamber in the absence of communication between the fluid chamber and the fluid source.

  • Patent number: 5245960
Abstract: An improved bracket and idler assembly for an internal combustion engine in which the bracket forms a portion of an air compressor for use with the engine.

  • Patent number: 4369743
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an electronic lubricant metering system for an engine which includes a throttle for regulating the amount of fuel delivered to the engine, the system comprising a frequency to voltage converter for producing a first electrical signal representative of engine RPM, a potentiometer including a wiper coupled to move in response to movement of the engine throttle, the voltage appearing on the wiper producing a second electrical signal representative of the amount of fuel being delivered to the engine, an oil pump for supplying a variable amount of lubricant into the fuel delivered to the engine, and an electrical control circuit responsive to the first and second electrical signals for providing a control output which renders the oil pump operative to vary the lubricant/fuel ratio of the lubricant and fuel mixture delivered to the engine.
