  • Publication number: 20240173017
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging device includes a housing with an outer surface and an inner surface. The outer surface is grasped by a user. The device includes an array of acoustic elements transmitting ultrasound energy and receiving ultrasound echoes. The array is at an end of the housing. The device includes a heat sink within the housing and receiving heat generated by the array. The device includes a heat pipe within the housing and transmitting the heat away from the end of the housing. The device includes a heat spreader material on the inner surface of the housing and dissipating the heat. The distal portion of the heat pipe is in thermal contact with the heat sink and the proximal portion of the heat pipe is in thermal contact with the heat spreader material. The proximal portion and the distal portion have a flattened profde.

  • Publication number: 20240168500
Abstract: A flow control device is disclosed. The flow control device includes a solenoid, the solenoid including an armature. Also, a piston connected to the armature. The piston includes a primary orifice. The piston having an open position and a closed position. A piston spring connected to the piston is also includes and at least one secondary orifice. The movement of the piston to the open position at least partially opens the at least one secondary orifice and the movement of the piston to the closed position at least partially closes the at least one secondary orifice. The movement of the armature actuates the piston movement and controls fluid flow from the primary orifice through the at least one secondary orifice.

  • Patent number: 8655486
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing canisters used to automatically dispense medication are provided. Canisters are configurable via a design process and a build process to accurately dispense a variety of medications. Design profiles are created and stored by a canister management system, and are federated to workstations used to build and fill the canisters, and to workstations used to dispense the medication. Information related to the build process, the fill process, and the dispense process is also federated by the system. The system also enables the transmission of other types of messages between client applications on the workstations and the canister management system. The system is useful to federate data regardless of a structure of a supply chain used to design, build, distribute, and use the canisters.
