  • Patent number: 11296440
Abstract: A cable assembly includes a flat flexible cable having a plurality of conductors embedded within an insulation material. A portion of each of the conductors is exposed via openings selectively formed in the insulation material, allowing for a crimping portion of an electrically conductive terminal to engage with the conductor within the opening. The crimping portion of the terminal includes a base defining at least one protrusion extending therefrom, and first and second sidewalls extending from the base. The base and sidewalls define an opening configured to receive the conductor therein, wherein the sidewalls are foldable into the opening for crimping the conductor within the opening and generally between the protrusion of the base and a portion of the sidewalls.

  • Patent number: 11287328
Abstract: A thermocouple (TC) protection gauge may guard TCs from flying debris and fragments in an explosive environment or demanding commercial environments. The gauge may contain multiple co-located TCs. By using the protection gauge, the survivability of the TCs is significantly increased and allows for a longer time frame of data collection. Temperature data is acquired from multiple TCs that are experiencing approximately the same gas temperature and gas velocity. The temperature data may be used to reconstruct the real gas temperature of a dynamic event. Each of the TCs has a different diameter and therefore has a different time resolved temperature trace. The individual temperature traces may be used to extrapolate the real gas temperature using, for example, a reconstruction algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20220055064
Abstract: A method of controlling spread pattern of a particulate material broadcasted by a spinner spreader involves permitting particulate material to flow through a plurality of sluices situated in a particulate material path between a bin and a rotatable disc of a spinner spreader. Each sluice receives a portion of the particulate material and delivers the portion of particulate material to a radial and/or angular position on the rotatable disc. The radial and/or angular position on the rotatable disc to which the portion of particulate material from at least one of sluices is delivered is adjusted by longitudinally translating the at least one independently moveable sluice independent of all other sluices of the plurality of sluices to change position of the at least one independently moveable sluice relative to the rotating disc thereby changing the spread pattern of the particulate material broadcasted by the rotatable disc.

  • Publication number: 20220058706
Abstract: A system and method, in various embodiments, maintains a cryptographically protected ledger of transactions pertaining to enabling a property owner to require subsequent holders of interests in its property to verify the property owner's informed consent to any transaction that creates or created an interest in its property in any other party. The method may include receiving, at a computing device running an automated agent, a request from a property owner to prepare a record of a contract for verifying and authenticating title-modifying transactions according to a protective scheme included in the contract and a covenant recorded against the title of the real property, which are stored as digital records in a cryptographically protected ledger. A digital certificate is used to verify authenticity of the digital records and confirm consent to the title-modifying transaction.

  • Publication number: 20220019585
Abstract: Techniques for managing database workloads using similarity measures based on queries executed are described. Classical techniques from information retrieval are applied to the domain of database workload management. Specifically, the technique of using document term vectors to compute similarity measures are applied using the conceptual mapping of SQL workloads as “documents” composed of SQL queries as “terms.” The techniques include generating two or more sets of workloads with each workload representing a set of queries executed on at least one database. Based on the sets of workloads, workload term vectors are calculated that represent the set of queries executed on the database. Then, based on the calculated workload vectors, a similarity score is generated between the two or more sets of workloads.
