  • Publication number: 20110273177
Abstract: An electromagnet assembly comprises a first pair of substantially co-planar coils wound in opposite senses to each other. It further comprises a second pair of co-planar coils also wound in opposite senses to each other. The coil pairs are arranged substantially parallel to, and spaced apart from, each other. In use, the field shape and direction produced by the first coil pair are substantially mirrored by those produced by the second coil pair.

  • Publication number: 20100219833
Abstract: An electromagnet comprising a ferromagnetic yoke which comprises a yoke. Mutually opposing first and second pole pieces are provided. The first pole piece is provided with a planar coil having a first side facing the yoke and a second side facing the yoke. A balancing member is arranged on the second side of the planar coil to counterbalance the attractive force between the planar coil and the yoke. The other pole piece may also be provided with a corresponding balancing member.

  • Publication number: 20070198397
Abstract: An electronic trading system is disclosed for principally for trading in intangible things, particularly financial instruments. The trading system comprising a quality-of-service (QoS) subsystem, which subsystem is operative to impose limitations upon trading activities in order that the performance of a component of the system or of the system as a while is maintained within specified tolerances. For example, it may limit the number of events that can be initiated by a trader. It may also allow some messages to be routed through the system with a priority that is higher than others when such messages have a particular content (e.g. are inherently urgent in nature or essential to proper operation of the system) or are to or from a privileged user. The system also has an integrated protocol stack for routing of data to enable the location of data bottlenecks to be identified.

  • Patent number: 6299666
Abstract: This invention refers to a method for producing Actinium-225, comprising the steps of preparing a target (1) containing Radium-226, of irradiating this target with protons in a cyclotron and of chemically separating Actinium from the irradiated target material thereafter. According to the invention the proton energy in the cyclotron is adjusted such that the energy incident on the Ra-226 is between 10 and 20 MeV, preferably between 9 14 and 17 MeV. By this means the yield of production of the desired isotope Ac-225 is enhanced with respect to other radioisotopes.

  • Patent number: 4971390
Abstract: A lockable drawer assembly which is fitted and designed to be fastened beneath a chair and in particular to a beach chair, both of the sitting type and reclining type. The assembly includes a specialized attaching means that permits the assembly to be attached to a chair of any desired width. The assembly incorporates a slidable drawer which is slidably attached to a support structure which in turn further includes an attaching arrangement which permits the support structure to be attached to the underside of the support bars of a chair and the drawer further includes a locking arrangement which securely locks the drawer within the support structure. A boss prevents the drawer from being completely pulled out of the support structure.
