  • Publication number: 20170268496
Abstract: A peristaltic pump device includes a resilient tube secured in a pump housing with a rotor having rollers squeezing against the resilient tube facilitating the pumping of a liquid or gas. A cylindrical rotor rotates in a bore provided in the pump housing. The rotor has steps in which rollers freely slide and rotate. As the rotor rotates, the rollers also rotate and are slidingly held in the rotor step thereby frictional contact with the compressing resilient tube and consequently the liquid or gas within goes out of the resilient tube. The pump is inexpensive to build, reliable, and by design promotes the long life of the resilient tube as compared to existing roller type peristaltic pumps.

  • Publication number: 20170030368
Abstract: A pump device includes an axially rotating tube having an internal impeller affixed. Each opposite end of the tube has an inlet and outlet so that a powering means to axially engage the tube results in moving of a fluid. The supports or monoblocks at each end of the tube provide for sealing of the fluid passing through the tube and bearing support for the rotating tube. Quick pump disassembly and assembly and the feature of simple interchangeability of impeller types result in a variety of fluids to be pumped and fast and easy pump maintenance.

  • Patent number: 9557325
Abstract: The binding specificity of at least one protein suspended or dissolved in a liquid medium is reversibly altered by exposing the protein to an oxidizing agent or an electric current. A masked protein such as an autoantibody can be detected, isolated and recovered from a biological fluid by subjecting the biological fluid to an oxidizing agent or an electric current to change the binding specificity of masked proteins contained therein.

  • Publication number: 20170021357
Abstract: The present invention relates to rollers subjected to wear conditions and surface reinforcements for such rollers. More specifically, the present invention relates to the orientation of projections on the rollers or surface segments of such rollers. In one embodiment, the roller includes a hub. The roller also includes a plurality of removable surface segments attachable to the hub so as to form a layer around the hub. Each surface segment has two opposed sides and an exterior surface. The spacing between projections across the exterior surface decreases from each of the opposed sides to an intermediate point between the opposed sides.

  • Publication number: 20160367995
Abstract: A roller with replaceable edge reinforcements is provided. A plurality of removable edge reinforcements are disposed radially along the peripheral edge of the end face of the roller. The reinforcements are slidably connected to the end face of the roller, either directly or indirectly, using male and female interlocking members, preferably in a U-shaped dovetail. The edge reinforcements are constructed from a suitably hard material and accept wear in place of the peripheral edge of the roller itself. In some embodiments, a pin and dimple arrangement is provided to assist the sliding engagement of the male and female members. A tool recess may also be provided to assist with removing the edge reinforcements.

  • Publication number: 20160367994
Abstract: A roller surface reinforcement system and a method of reconditioning a roller is provided. A plurality of surface segments are fastened to a hub. In some embodiments, an engagement structure is provided to maintain a gap between adjacent surface segments to reduce wear. The surface segments can be provided with studs, teeth, depressions, blades, grooves, paddles, or the like. When the roller is worn out, the plurality of surface segments can be removed and replaced with new surface segments, so as to create a reconditioned roller surface.

  • Patent number: 9175684
Abstract: A rotary pump device includes a stator chamber with a cylindrical inner wall having intake and exhaust ports and an abutment mounted therein, and a rotor eccentrically mounted on an axial driven shaft for rotation within the chamber. The rotor keeps continuous wiping contact with the chamber wall while repelling magnets exert pressure on an abutment which maintains contact with the rotor to partition the intake and outlet ports. The repelling magnets act as a spring to assure contact of the abutment on the rotor while the pump is running or on standby. The repelling is caused by locating magnets positioned with similar facing poles in a pocket positioned against an abutment. A full intake/exhaust cycle takes place every 360° of rotor travel.
