The one or more medical devices may include a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy stapling guide in conjunction with a calibration tube in accordance with one or more examples. According to an example, the calibration tube may be a flared, multi-diameter calibration tube. The flared, multi-diameter calibration tube may have a first diameter along a portion of the tube and a second diameter that may larger than the first diameter along at least another portion of the tube. The calibration tube may be used in conjunction with the stapling guide to align stomach such that it may be stapled along the stapling guide (e.g., to perform the vertical sleeve gastrectomy).

    Abstract: A system to assist a skier in locating an unattached ski in powder snow after a fall includes an audible alarm member which is mounted on the ski, and a remote hand-held activator member held by the skier. The skier can trigger the alarm by operating a switch on the remote activator. The sound emitted by the alarm will allow the skier to locate the direction and position of the lost ski.

    Abstract: A refuse receptacle protector comprising a rigid hollow enclosure which is closed at the top and open at the bottom which is used for preventing spilling of trash by wind, animals and the like and which camouflages the unsightly appearance of trash receptacles. The protector has an anti-tipping means such as a weighted top or bottom or spikes to resist tipping of the protector by an external force and is preferably domed-shaped with a handle on the external side wall thereof. Transporting means are provided to transport the protector in the inverted position to render it useable for transporting refuse receptacles.
