  • Publication number: 20180333309
Abstract: Sponges suitable for use in medical procedures may include radio-opaque material, and arranged to allow individual sponges in a set, packet or package of sponges to be readily discernable using imaging technology (e.g., X-ray) to allow accurate counting of sponges. The sponges may include wireless transponders, for instance LC resonant and/or RFID transponders. Gauze or similar material is folded to enhance the ability to count the sponges. Sponges are counted and banded or packaged to provide assurance that the count is accurate.

  • Publication number: 20180289444
Abstract: Imaging marker embodiments that may be used for marking sites within a patient's body are discussed. Some imaging marker embodiments are particularly useful for imaging with ultrasound imaging modalities and some imaging marker embodiments may be suitable for imaging with multiple modes of imaging modalities. Method embodiments for making and using imaging markers are also discussed herein.

  • Publication number: 20180140224
Abstract: A tissue marker delivery device includes a hollow cannula and a fibrous marker. The hollow cannula has a distal region. The fibrous marker is disposed within the distal region. The fibrous marker includes a plurality of bioabsorbable strands, and a binding agent. Optionally, the tissue marker delivery device may include a short-term marker that includes an imagable agent that does not interfere with imaging adjacent tissue.

  • Patent number: 9861294
Abstract: A marker delivery device includes an elongated delivery cannula which has a distal end section, an inner lumen and a discharge opening in the distal end section in communication with the inner lumen. A plunger is slidably disposed within the inner lumen of the elongated delivery cannula. The plunger has a distal end. At least one elongated fibrous marker body is pre-formed prior to being inserted into the inner lumen of the elongated delivery cannula. The at least one elongated fibrous marker body is slidably disposed within the inner lumen of the elongated delivery cannula at a location distal to the distal end of the plunger. The pre-formed at least one elongated fibrous marker body includes a fibrous material compressed and impregnated with a binding agent and freeze dried in the compressed condition. A releasable plug is disposed within a distal portion of the inner lumen and distal to the at least one elongated fibrous marker body.

  • Publication number: 20170098289
Abstract: A system and method for managing real estate data using a mobile device, such as a tablet computer. The data is displayed in a manner that facilitates quick analysis suing a mobile device. User interfaces, processing, and other features provide a mobile user with information required to make intelligent decisions on real estate transactions. A tour can be constructed based on a subset of data returned as a result of a database query.

  • Patent number: 9044162
Abstract: A marker delivery device includes an elongated delivery cannula which has a distal end section, an inner lumen and a discharge opening in the distal end section in communication with the inner lumen. At least one elongated fibrous marker body is slidably disposed within the inner lumen of the elongated delivery cannula. The at least one elongated fibrous marker body includes a plurality of bioabsorbable polymeric strands. The strands are compressed to a compressed configuration and bound together in the compressed configuration with a polymer binding agent prior to insertion into the elongated delivery cannula.
