  • Patent number: 11877124
Abstract: An audio system for user hearing assessment includes one or more audio capture devices, and processing circuitry. The one or more audio capture devices are configured to capture audio of a conversation of a user and convert the audio to audio signals. The processing circuitry is configured to use the audio signals to identify multiple conditions associated with user hearing difficulty. The conditions include any of words, phrases, frequencies, or phonemes, and environmental audio conditions that are followed by an indication of user hearing difficulty. The processing circuitry is configured to generate a hearing profile for the user based on the identified conditions associated with user hearing difficulty. The processing circuitry is configured to adjust an operation of an audio output device using the hearing profile to reduce a frequency of user hearing difficulty if the user requires audio enhancement.

  • Patent number: 11877157
Abstract: An embodiment includes a method to increase the efficiency of security checkpoint operations. A security checkpoint kiosk serves as a Relying Party System (RPS). The RPS establishes a secure local connection between the RPS and a User Mobile-Identification-Credential Device (UMD). The RPS sends a user information request to the UMD, via the secure local connection, seeking release of user information associated with a Mobile Identification Credential (MIC). The RPS obtains authentication of the user information received in response to the user information request. The RPS retrieves user travel information based on the user information. The RPS determines that the user travel information matches the user information. When the user travel information matches the user information, the RPS approves the user to proceed past the security checkpoint kiosk.

  • Patent number: 11869475
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include applying, via a sound reproduction system, sound cancellation that reduces an amplitude of various sound signals. The method further includes identifying, among the sound signals, an external sound whose amplitude is to be reduced by the sound cancellation. The method then includes analyzing the identified external sound to determine whether the identified external sound is to be made audible to a user and, upon determining that the external sound is to be made audible to the user, the method includes modifying the sound cancellation so that the identified external sound is made audible to the user. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230411970
Abstract: A magnetic inductive resonance charging circuit includes a resonant network having an inductive secondary coil that converts a magnetic field received from an inductive primary coil into an alternating current (AC) signal and a synchronous rectifier that rectifies the AC signal to generate a direct current (DC) signal for application to a load. The synchronous rectifier includes a variety of configurations for shunting the AC waveform of an AC current source in the event of a fault. For example, a rectifier controller may hold a pair of normally open switches of the rectifier off and a pair of normally closed switches of the rectifier on to shunt the AC current source when an over-voltage, over-current fault condition or an over-temperature fault condition is detected. Configurations are provided for grounding the capacitive electromagnetic interference produced in the chassis of an electric vehicle when the resonant network is unbalanced.

  • Patent number: 11829349
Abstract: A database is stored as a plurality of database shards in a distributed database grid comprising a plurality of grid elements, each including a mid-tier database system. A first grid element receives, from an application executing in the same memory as a mid-tier database system of the first grid element, a first database transaction including at least one database operation on specific data stored in a first database shard that belongs to the first grid element. The first grid element performs and commits the first database transaction without participation of another grid element of the plurality of grid elements. The first grid element receives a second database transaction that requires access to another database shard that does not belong to the first grid element. Multiple grid elements of the plurality of grid elements perform the second database transaction and commit the second database transaction using a two-phase commit protocol.

  • Publication number: 20230355141
Abstract: A system is provided herein for stimulating an anatomical element of a patient. For example, the system may include a device (e.g., an implantable pulse generator) and an electrode device electrically coupled to the device. In some examples, the device may be configured to generate a current that is to be applied to the anatomical element via the electrode device to stimulate the anatomical element as part of a therapy aimed at achieving or supporting glycemic control in the patient. Additionally, the current may be applied to the anatomical element based on a machine learning algorithm that uses inputs gathered for determining one or more characteristics for the current. Accordingly, the machine learning algorithm may be configured to determine the one or more characteristics for the current specific to the patient (e.g., to provide personalized therapy settings for the patient).

  • Publication number: 20230355976
Abstract: A system is provided herein for stimulating an anatomical element of a patient to regulate insulin production of the patient. In some examples, the system may include a device configured to generate a current and an electrode device electrically coupled to the device. Subsequently, the device may receive instructions to apply the current to the anatomical element via a plurality of electrodes of the electrode device, where the current is configured to regulate insulin production of the patient. For example, a first electrode may be configured for placement on or around a celiac vagal trunk, where the current downregulates neural activity of the celiac vagal trunk, and a second electrode may be configured for placement on or around a hepatic vagal trunk, where the current upregulates neural activity of the hepatic vagal trunk.

  • Publication number: 20230355981
Abstract: A system is provided herein for stimulating an anatomical element of a patient. For example, a device may be configured to generate a current, and an electrode device coupled to the device may be configured to apply the current to the anatomical element. In some examples, the current may be configured to prevent hypoglycemic episodes from occurring in the patient when applied to the anatomical element. For example, the current may be configured to downregulate neural activity of a celiac vagal trunk and to upregulate neural activity of a hepatic vagal trunk. Accordingly, the current being applied to anatomical element of the patient may result in a decrease in insulin production of the patient, an increase in glucose production of the patient, an increase in blood sugar levels of the patient, or a combination thereof. Additionally, applying the current may prevent nocturnal hypoglycemic episodes from occurring.
