  • Publication number: 20240139531
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for generating pulse pacing in a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (“WCD”). In one aspect the WCD circuitry includes a power source such as a battery coupled to a charger that provides charge energy to an energy storage module. Control circuitry is operatively coupled to the charger and the output circuitry, and configured to cause the WCD circuitry to generate pacing pulses delivered to therapy electrodes (attached to an ambulatory patient) without a current source. The WCD circuitry includes one or more processing elements that are used to execute instructions provided by one or more software modules that are configured to support various functionality, including controlling generation of pacing pulses.

  • Patent number: 4110836
Abstract: A number of values of a variable defining a program of operations are settable by means of three potentiometers, connected to a controlled apparatus, which control respectively the initial, final, and rate of change of the variable, each potentiometer having an associated plate one edge of which indicates the value set against a scale. The plate edges form a curve of a graph indicative of the program. In a modification a plurality of linear potentiometers are located at different positions along a scale showing stages in the program, the sliders of the potentiometers being used to set and also indicate the value of the variable at each stage.

  • Patent number: 4038978
Abstract: An intrauterine device providing a membrane to cover substantially the entire surface of the uterine cavity, said device having a Y- or V-shaped resilient member with two diverging arms, a membrane covering the entire area between the diverging arms and, in addition, extending above an imaginary line passing through the terminal ends of the arms, and a flexible tail or string connected to the intersection of the arms for aiding in the removal of the device from the uterus when desired. The ends of the diverging arms have enlarged end portions and the arms are of unequal length so that the arms may be resiliently collapsed and placed in a tubular inserter with the enlarged end portions longitudinally spaced in the inserter.
