Abstract: A harness restraint for a person seated in a seat (1) having a seat position (2) and a back rest portion (3). The restraint is a pair of shoulder straps (6) each being anchored at its respective upper ends (7) and each extend downwards in parallel relationship to the junction of the seat portion (2) and back rest portion (3) then in a horizontal direction to the sides of the seat to form a lap sash in the relaxed state. A crotch strap (9) anchored at one end to fixture (10) has its free end passed between the legs of the person seated and looped around the shoulder straps then back to be releasably secured by buckle (11) to fixture (10). Inertia reel devices may be provided at the anchoring ends of the belts.

Abstract: A child's car seat for sitting on the conventional seat of a vehicle and being retained therein by the vehicle safety belts, the car seat being moveable between a slumbering position and a sitting position by movement of a linkage system operated by a handle, whereby the linkage system incorporates an over center device so that the car seat is securely restrained in its two extreme positions.

Abstract: A rotary machine wherein a rotor orbits without rotation within a casing, the rotor carrying blades in blade slots to form working chambers between the rotor and the interior of the casing. The machine carries sealing means to co-operate between the rotor end faces and the side walls of the casing, with the sealing means including seals and enclosing said blade slot areas and a seal sealing engaging adjacent the rotors circumference.

Abstract: A rotary machine operable as a pump, compressor, motor or internal combustion engine, the machine having a rotor orbiting but not rotating within a chamber in a housing, vanes separating the space within the chamber into working chambers. The rotor is eccentrically mounted on a rotatable shaft, the rotor being guided by lobes on the rotor operating in shaped recesses in the housing. The vanes are vane assemblies biassed outwardly into contact with the chamber wall, and include a plurality of vane blades to give a labyrinth seal effect.

Abstract: A child's car seat, the seat having a seat portion and a back rest portion mounted by links on a supporting frame, so that the seat portion can be moved downwardly and forwardly and the back rest portion moves also to increase the angle of slope so that the seat can be moved from a sitting position to a reclining position.
