  • Publication number: 20240148429
Abstract: A method for determining motional branch current in an ultrasonic transducer of an ultrasonic surgical device over multiple frequencies of a transducer drive signal. The method may comprise, at each of a plurality of frequencies of the transducer drive signal, oversampling a current and voltage of the transducer drive signal, receiving, by a processor, the current and voltage samples, and determining, by the processor, the motional branch current based on the current and voltage samples, a static capacitance of the ultrasonic transducer and the frequency of the transducer drive signal.

  • Publication number: 20240115701
Abstract: Provided herein are methods of separating host cell lipases from a production protein in chromatographic processes and methods of improving polysorbate-80 stability in a production protein formulation by separating host cell lipases from the production protein using chromatographic processes. Also provided herein are compositions comprising antibodies or antigen binding fragments thereof that bind to cytotoxic T lymphocyte associated antigen 4 (CTLA4). • Patent number: 11923511
Abstract: A novel wound electrode assembly for a lithium oxyhalide electrochemical cell is described. The electrode assembly comprises an elongate cathode of an electrochemically non-active but electrically conductive carbonaceous material disposed between an inner elongate portion and an outer elongate portion of a unitary lithium anode. That way, lithium faces the entire length of the opposed major sides of the cathode. This inner anode portion/cathode/outer anode portion configuration is rolled into a wound-shaped electrode assembly that is housed inside a cylindrically-shaped casing. A cylindrically-shaped sheet-type spring centered in the electrode assembly presses outwardly to limit axial movement of the electrode assembly. In one embodiment, all the non-active components, except for the cathode current collector which is nickel, are made of stainless-steel. This provides the cell with a low magnetic signature without adversely affecting the cell's high-rate capability.

  • Patent number: 10052969
Abstract: A vehicle including a powertrain system that includes an electric machine electrically connected to a power inverter is described, wherein the powertrain system is operative in an electric vehicle mode to generate propulsion torque. A method for controlling the powertrain system includes determining a vehicle speed, and determining a preferred audible sound to be generated by the powertrain system when operating in the electric vehicle mode at the vehicle speed. A control signal for the power inverter is determined, and is associated with operating the powertrain system in the electric vehicle mode at the vehicle speed. The preferred audible sound is incorporated into the control signal for the power inverter, and the power inverter is controlled to operate the electric machine employing the control signal and the preferred audible sound.

  • Patent number: 10029170
Abstract: A casino table poker game where all cards are dealt face-up and the dealer plays a hand. Players each place an ante wager and are initially dealt a partial face-up poker hand and the dealer is dealt a complete face-up poker hand. If the dealer's poker hand meets or exceeds a kick out threshold, the dealer folds her poker hand. The kick out threshold can vary based on the number of players in the game. Then, from lowest to highest rank of partial face-up poker hands, players can fold or pay an additional wager to receive additional cards to complete their face-up poker hand. The pot is awarded to the dealer or player with the best poker hand according to a predetermined set of poker game rules.

  • Patent number: 9371010
Abstract: A method of controlling a power inverter coupled to an electric motor in a vehicle powertrain having an engine is provided. The method includes generating a voltage waveform signal and a switching frequency signal for the inverter via a controller. At least one of the voltage waveform signal and the switching frequency signal is at least partially based on at least one commanded engine operating parameter. For example, the engine on/off state, engine torque, and engine speed can be considered. A vehicle having a controller configured to implement the method is also provided.
