  • Patent number: 6913777
Abstract: A portable, single-use container for separately containing a first and second consumable products. The container includes a first compartment and a second compartment. The first compartment tapers at an upper portion thereof to form a spout. The spout facilitates dispensing of a contained first consumable product from the first compartment. The second compartment, in turn, tapers at an upper portion thereof to form a mouth. The mouth facilitates dispensing of a second consumable product from the second compartment. The first and second compartments are assembled to one another in a side-by-side fashion such that the spout abuts the mouth. With this configuration, during use, a first consumable product and a second consumable product can be dispensed from the container in close proximity to one another for convenient consumption. In one preferred embodiment, the first compartment contains a volume of milk and the second compartment contains a quantity of cereal.

  • Publication number: 20020155202
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a container assembly for delivering food products for on the go consumers. The exemplary container assembly is composed of two containers or vessels having different dimensions and volumes and different sized outlets to permit two products to be dispensed in accordance with proportionally predetermined amounts. The container is provided with nestling capability, which prevents splaying and creates package integrity to provide for a near homogenous product offering that can be easily gripped and consumed by the individual.

  • Publication number: 20020114870
Abstract: A portable, single-use container for separately containing a dry consumable product and a liquid consumable product. The container includes a first, outer compartment; a second, inner compartment; and a cover. The first compartment includes a bottom, a first compartment side wall and an annular rim. The first compartment side wall extends from the bottom and defines a first compartment internal storage region. The annular rim is formed at a top of the first compartment side wall. The second compartment similarly includes a base, a second compartment side wall, and an annular lip. The second compartment side wall extends from the base and defines a second compartment internal storage region. The annular lip is formed at the top of a second compartment side wall, defining a dry product opening and forming a pour opening. The dry product opening provides access to the internal storage region. The pour opening is positioned along the annular lip so as to be offset from the dry product opening.

  • Publication number: 20020110622
Abstract: A portable, packaged consumable good article including a container, a volume of liquid consumable product and a dry consumable product. The container includes a first compartment, a second compartment, a first pour opening, and a second pour opening. The first and second compartments are connected to one another. The first pour opening is associated with the first compartment and facilitates restricted flow of a contained product therefrom. Similarly, the second pour opening is associated with the second compartment and facilitates restricted flow of a contained product therefrom. The volume of liquid consumable product is contained within the first compartment. Finally, the dry consumable product is contained within the second compartment. In this regard, the dry consumable product comprises a plurality of pieces. In one preferred embodiment, the pieces each have a maximum outer dimension not greater than 0.4 inch.

  • Patent number: 5944206
Abstract: A closure (10) is shown including a U-shaped handle (27) integrally connected to a cap (22) in turn integrally connected to the end wall (18) of a bottle (12) to seal the opening (20) formed therein. The handle (27) includes a lever element (28) in the preferred form of a hollow body (30) integrally connected to the cap (22) by a web (32) and for providing leverage in twisting the cap (22) off the end wall (18). First and second wings (36) are integrally connected to the lever element (28) for increasing the size of closure (10) to be larger than a small part. In the preferred form, each of the wings (36) includes a solid trailing portion (44) and a hollow tube (38) in fluid communication with the hollow body (30). The trailing portions (44) are compression molded by the mold halves (54) utilized to blow mold the bottle (12). The hollow tubes (38) are compression molded and thermoformed in the mold halves (56) forming the end wall (18), the cap (22), and the lever element (28).
