  • Patent number: 8221154
Abstract: A power strip provides simple and quick current flow readings using a standard clamp-type ammeter by means of an aperture passing through the power strip housing. The hot wire and neutral wire passing into the power strip from its cable are passed on opposite sides of the aperture. In this way, the jaws of a clamp-type ammeter may be positioned through the aperture to enclose only a single conductor from the cable, in order to provide an accurate current reading.

  • Patent number: 6945784
Abstract: Generating a pitched musical part from an electronic music file comprised of instrumental parts includes generating a control stream that indicates which of the instrumental parts has a highest value for a period of time, selecting one of the instrumental parts for the period of time based on the control stream, and outputting the selected instrumental part for the period of time to produce the musical part. Generating a non-pitched musical part from an electronic music file includes identifying patterns in the electronic music file and selectively combining the patterns to produce the musical part.

  • Patent number: 6175070
Abstract: A control program tangibly stored on a digital storage medium for use with a music system is configured to cause a digital processor to carry out the following functions. It causes the processor to (1) support a plurality of user selectable display formats each of which presents a different representation of the stored musical score when the stored musical score is being played, each of the plurality of display formats indicating to the user when actuation signals signals should be generated to cause an audio component to produce corresponding sounds of the stored musical score; (2) respond to a selection signal from the user identifying a selected one of the plurality of user-selectable display formats; and (3) display the stored musical score using the selected display format.
