  • Publication number: 20230359970
Abstract: Automated estimation and capture of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from performance of software-based processes using cloud-based integration platform. In an embodiment, an emissions estimation model is stored and associated with a GHG emissions step. The GHG emissions step may be incorporated into a flow path of data through one or more software-based processes. During execution of such a software-based process, data flowing through the GHG emissions step is enhanced by extracting GHG-related data, applying the emissions estimation model to the GHG-related data to estimate GHG emissions, and incorporating the estimated GHG emissions into the data.

  • Publication number: 20110050422
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying the location of an information handling system are disclosed. A method may include placing a slot passive tag proximate to a corresponding slot, wherein the corresponding slot is configured to mechanically couple a corresponding information handling system to the slot and wherein the slot passive tag is configured to indicate its presence to a device placed substantially proximate to the slot passive tag. The method may also include placing an information handling system passive tag on a corresponding information handling system, such that when the corresponding information handling system is mechanically coupled to the slots, the information handling system passive tag is substantially proximate to the slot passive tag to which the information handling system is mechanically coupled, wherein the information handling system passive tag is configured to indicate its presence to the device placed substantially proximate to the information handling system passive tag.

  • Publication number: 20090009958
Abstract: Thermal management for information handling systems is provided with a bypass cooling module that allows passive airflow from an exhaust aisle to a cooling aisle in a data center. A thermal extraction device, such as a heat sink with cooling fins or a liquid filled radiator, disposed in the bypass cooling module extracts thermal energy from the passive airflow to enhance the availability of cooled air in the cooling aisle for use by the information handling systems. A thermal energy transfer device, such as a secondary heat exchanger, transfers thermal energy from the bypass module towards a data center air conditioner. The bypass module is sized to fit into standardized rack slots, such as 1 U slots.

  • Patent number: 6068104
Abstract: A device for securing a moving object at a destination has, as a object, the imparting of flexibility to the position of the object to be secured; this object also applies when the space for special securing elements is relatively small and is predetermined to with respect to its location. The device comprises elements which engage one inside the other. A first part of these elements is provided so as to be stationary at the destination and a second part is provided at the moving object. An approach arrangement facilitates the engagement of the elements one inside the other. The first part serves as a guide device for the second part and permits a movement of the second part in a first direction and blocks a movement vertical to this direction. Further, the guide device has a stopping arrangement for stopping the object in at least one location along the path of the permitted movement. The second part engages in the first part by means of movement which are offset relative to one another with respect to time.

  • Patent number: 5967740
Abstract: A device for transporting objects to a destination has the aim of providing an economical and simplified design of a technical solution for transferring containers in an ergonomic manner such that the operating processes are substantially facilitated. A transfer mechanism contains, on a vertically adjustable platform, a carrier for the object to be transported, which carrier can be extended horizontally in the direction of the destination. There is provided a compulsory linking of the vertical adjustment of the platform and the horizontal adjustment of the carrier and a shared driving element is provided for both adjustments. The device is used for the transport of objects in semiconductor fabricating plants.
