  • Patent number: 4362240
Abstract: A basket type multi-use carrier carton of the top-opening type having double thicknesses of material between each adjacent carried article. The carton is made from a cartonboard blank which minimizes the number of folds and the amount of blank material required by auxillary overlying separator strips adhered to the internal separator panels located in one area of the blank that separate some of the carried articles.

  • Patent number: 4328891
Abstract: An improved tab separator element interposes label bearing glass bottles in a paperboard carrier carton. An arcuately shaped fold line not only flares outwardly the front portion of the tab to provide a wider aperture facilitating insertion of the bottle into the carton, but also increases tab resiliency which aids in holding packaged bottles firmly in place within the carton. Leading edges of the tab are rounded and angled to decrease the possibility of tearing or disfiguring paper labels.

  • Patent number: 4105152
Abstract: A paperboard container comprises an opened top receptacle adapted to contain foodstuffs therein and a separate cover telescopically disposed on the receptacle. The receptacle comprises a bottom panel, a pair of laterally spaced end panels, a back panel and a front panel hingedly connected to the bottom panel. A pair of lock flaps are hingedly connected to opposite ends of the front panel to each engage within a slot defined on a forward edge of a respective end panel. A slit, formed on the end panel, defines a lock tab adapted to bend outwardly to receive the lock flap thereunder when the front panel is moved to its closed position. The receptacle is adapted to be loaded with foodstuffs, such as asparagus, upon opening of the front panel which is thereafter closed for reception of the cover on the receptacle.
