  • Patent number: 6829868
Abstract: A method of installing a glazing pane in a frame that includes providing the frame with structure defining elongated grooves including a lower horizontal groove and left and right upright grooves, the pane having upper and lower horizontal edges, and left and right upright edges, maneuvering the pane to position the pane left and right upright edges in the respective frame structure left and right upright grooves, for retention therein, the pane then being lowered to position the pane lower horizontal edge is the frame lower horizontal groove, for retention therein, and providing a horizontally elongated stop member, carried by the frame to extend in retaining relation with the pane upper horizontal edge, blocking access to that edge from the front side of the frame.

  • Patent number: 5595033
Abstract: A plastic block comprising of a generally rectangular plastic block consisting of contoured faces on opposite sides connected by adjoining edges. These blocks give the appearance of glass blocks without the weight, fragility, or cost of standard glass blocks commonly used as decorative wall components. These blocks consist of interlocking male and female connectors integral to the side wall of the blocks so as to facilitate assembly.

  • Patent number: 5443718
Abstract: A reactor for refining resid includes an elongated vertical vessel containing a bed of catalyst which is expanded or ebullated by a liquid/gas mixture. The mixture rises in an updraft through the bed and then is recirculated with an increased velocity by an ebullating pump. To reduce gas holdup of the ebullated bed and to promote a more uniform flow, the gas is entrapped by two cascaded stages of baffles which have an internal conical shape to guide, direct, and entrap the gas. One of these two stages has a shape which creates a countercurrent in the flowing liquid to deflect any catalyst particles which might otherwise be elutriated by the increased velocity.
