  • Publication number: 20230390557
Abstract: A portable electrical stimulation device is disclosed. In one aspect, the device includes a pair of electrodes configured to be electrically coupled to a user and a wave generator configured to provide an electrical signal to the user via the pair of electrodes. The wave generator is further configured to generate the electrical signal at one of a plurality of levels. Each of the plurality of levels is defined by at least a frequency, a peak voltage, and a peak current. For each of the levels the frequency is in a range of about 50 Hz-about 500 Hz, the peak voltage is in a range of about 40 V-about 250 V, the peak current is in a range of about 25 mA-about 150 mA, and the frequency and the peak voltage have a generally inverse relationship.

  • Patent number: 8645103
Abstract: Apparatus for capturing, aggregating, and transferring data to detect windshield wiper motion in a motor vehicle so as to alert the driver of the need to turn on headlights. The apparatus includes motion-sensing hardware having a microprocessor programmed to detect rhythmic movement of shadows at regular intervals or to receive digitized signals from inertial sensors and to sense rhythmic patterns of vibration or motion in the car and characterize and filter the patterns to accurately distinguish wiper motions from other motions. The software then instructs the microprocessor to output a perceivable alert to the driver indicating that vehicle lights must be turned on.

  • Publication number: 20100315021
Abstract: A microprocessor uses one or more output pins to pulse width modulate a charge pump network to achieve a boosted voltage on an output port. The boosted voltage is then used to drive an LED, which may have a higher voltage drop than that of the starting un-boosted voltage. The adjustment of either the frequency or duty cycle of the PWM signal allows for adjustment of the steady state output voltage. This allows for the adjustment of the brightness of the LED by firmware while supplying enough voltage drop required by the LEDs.

  • Publication number: 20100182507
Abstract: A system for matching the currently tuned frequency of a signal transmitting device with that of a signal receiving device, including a transmitter having an illuminated color display which changes colors in relation to the channel or frequency on which the transmitter is currently tuned, and a signal receiving device having an illuminated color display which changes colors in relation to the channel or frequency on which the signal receiving unit is currently tuned. Each device has a channel selector function so that the frequency to which the device is tuned can be changed, thereby changing the color displayed.

  • Publication number: 20090110206
Abstract: An electronic device having a unique audio sensing method that senses the event of no audio for a predetermined period of time. The sensed information is used by a microprocessor to bring the device into a low-power mode. The same method may be used to bring a device into active mode from a low-power mode.

  • Publication number: 20080298456
Abstract: An audio circuit digitizes raw analog input and uses a digital signal processor (DSP) to filter, modulate, and mix the input to produce a multiplex composite signal. The multiplex composite signal is output from the DSP through a digital/analog converter (DAC), and modulates a conventional FM RF stage. In a first preferred, hydrid embodiment, the composite signal is output from the DSP through a digital/analog converter (DAC), and modulates a conventional FM RF stage. In a second preferred, fully digital embodiment, carrier modulation takes place in the DSP, and FM modulated RF is output via a fast DAC for final filtering and radiation.

  • Patent number: 6830197
Abstract: A two-dimensional matrix code, method of producing the code and a method and device for reading the code are presented. The code is a round, compact and distinct code that stores an error-corrected 64-bit number, embedded targets, and quality control information within a space small enough for imaging using a compact, hand-held code finder. The code incorporates white space both between the data areas and targets for easy identification of the code and to aid in image processing, and within the data area to correct for errors that sometimes occur when printing using low-quality techniques. Additionally, the code includes features to correct for other printing errors, such as variations in printing press speed and intentional aspect ratio stretching to fill copy space. The code is thus robust enough to be incorporated within newsprint and is also easily imaged using specially constructed code finders.
