  • Patent number: 8907789
Abstract: A pump control system includes a controller coupled to first and second pressure sensors. The sensors couple serial pressure related information to the controller. The controller can evaluate respective liquid levels, in response to received pressure related information from the sensors. A current sensor coupled to the controller can provide signals indicative of operation of one or more pumps coupled to the controller. The controller includes circuits to detect the presence of predetermined faults and to emit an audible fault indicator in response thereto.

  • Patent number: 8186975
Abstract: Pumps with low profile disk-type motors can incorporate an impeller into one or both rotors. Alternately, a separate impeller can be attached to a rotor. The pumps can be contained in housings without seals as the rotors need not be mechanically attached.

  • Patent number: 7612529
Abstract: A backup pump control unit can incorporate ports to receive rechargeable batteries such as lithium ion, nickel cadmium or nickel metal hydride batteries. Multiple units can be coupled together to increase the available, stored electrical energy. In the absence of AC-type input power, the batteries can energize a backup pump.

  • Patent number: 6847130
Abstract: An uninterruptible power supply system senses quality of available three phase input power and determines if load requirements can be met therefrom. If not, it drives an inverter to generate acceptable quality three phase AC to supply to the load. In this mode, the energy is obtained from a battery array. A solar panel can be used as a primary or a secondary source of input energy.

  • Patent number: 6789024
Abstract: A microprocessor based flow meter establishes a series of pump on and off time intervals. Using previously entered flow rate information, the meter establishes quantities of flow during each pumping cycle or totals for predetermined time intervals such as days or weeks. Quantities of flow can be displayed on a per cycle basis or can be accumulated based on predetermined elapsed time intervals such as days or weeks.

  • Patent number: 5071370
Abstract: A two part electrical connector system is provided for easily connecting the plug of an electrical device having two or more independently operable switches to a source of electrical energy. Each of the switches terminates in a two-part electrical connector formed as a plug and a receptacle. The members of the connector system can be coupled to the plug and receptacle portions of the switch terminating electrical connectors respectively. The interconnected assembly can be coupled to the source of electrical energy. The electrical plug of the associated device can then be engaged with the connector system. As one or the other of the independently operable switches responds to a predetermined condition electrical energy is coupled from the source, via the connector system and the responding switch, to the device energizing same.
