  • Publication number: 20240186780
Abstract: An electrical box includes a body, a cover, adjustable mounting brackets and a connection geometry for engagement with a connection geometry of a floor support structure. The adjustable mounting brackets are configured to be adjusted in the vertical direction to accommodate floor materials of different thicknesses so that a top surface of the electrical box is flush with a top surface of adjacent floor material(s). The electrical box houses electrical connection points such as electrical receptacles or data or audio/video connections that remain sheltered from the outdoor elements but are also easily accessible.

  • Patent number: 6751913
Abstract: A wall structure includes at least two studs that are designed to support panels front and back, and end caps or raceway channel defining members on the leading and trailing edges of the panel wall structure. Each of the studs includes sets of oppositely arranged flanges that in turn cooperate with marginal edges of both the panels and the raceway defining members. Cross bracing is provided to allow wiring either within the enclosed space between the panels, or more preferably in the wireways defined in the raceway members so that the power and data communication conductors can be isolated from one another. The feature of the panel structure is that the panels themselves can support light fixtures or other lightweight electrical devices, and heavier electrical devices or units can be accommodated from the cross bracing or from shelves secured to the cross bracing and to the studs.

  • Patent number: 5682017
Abstract: A mild alloy steel is used to stamp the metal base into a configuration that provides channel shaped ribs just inboard of each end of the base. Each rib defines a downturned tab at the ends to provide a downwardly facing abutment surface adjacent each corner of the rectangular base. The cover, of the same material, has end walls that define flanges that are arranged flush with the side walls of the rectangular cover. These side walls have tabs bent around these flanges to define upwardly facing abutment surfaces. These abutment surfaces lock in place at assembly of the base and cover obviating the need for conventional screw fasteners.
