    Abstract: An automatic shut-off nozzle for a vehicle servicing system can be rapidly mated to a receiver fitting on a fuel tank. Both the nozzle and the receiver have valves which are normally closed but which open when the nozzle is mated to the receiver. The nozzle includes a piston which moves so as to displace a spring-biased operculum forming the valve of the receiver; the piston is automatically retracted when the receiver is filled.
