  • Patent number: 11946722
Abstract: A detector for detecting the removal and/or insertion of a weapon out of and/or into a holster. The detector may transmit a message each time the weapon is removed from the holster. A recording system may receive the message and determine whether or not it will begin recording the data it captures. A detector may detect the change in a magnitude of an inductance and/or an impedance of a circuit to detect insertion and removal of the weapon into and out of the holster. The holster is configured to couple to the detector to position the detector to detect insertion and removal of the weapon. An adhesive tape may couple a detector to a holster.

  • Publication number: 20240106700
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to methods for sending event notifications. In some examples, a controller periodically sends messages concerning a status of an event corresponding to the controller. In some examples, at a first time while periodically sending the messages and in accordance with a determination that the status of the event has changed, the controller sends a message concerning data other than the status of the event. In some examples, at the first time while periodically sending the messages and in accordance with a determination that the status of the event has not changed, the controller continues to periodically send the messages without sending the message concerning data other than the status of the event.

  • Publication number: 20230063864
Abstract: In one embodiment, a processing device receives a first digital fingerprint of a media item along with a first content management rule. The processing device separately receives a second digital fingerprint of the media item along with a second content management rule. The processing device determines that the received digital fingerprints are for the same media item based upon a match between the first digital fingerprint and the second digital fingerprint. The processing device determines that all rights to the media item have been accounted for, and then determines a set of actions to be performed for hosted media items comprising the media item based at least in part upon the first content management rule and the second content management rule. Processing logic may also perform a conflict resolution process for conflicting rights claims to the media item.

  • Patent number: 11354469
Abstract: A data processing system systems with parallel processors performing simulations by numerical solution of partial differential equations or similar numerical simulations. The data processing system extends the scaling limit of parallel solvers in those numerical simulations by overcoming the frequent network latencies encountered during a simulation. • Patent number: 11221641
Abstract: A mechanism for causing axial movement of a device, such as a pin, by rotating a knob in a rotational direction. The knob includes cam surfaces that, when rotated, axially adjust the device by bending an elastic frame so a portion of the frame moves toward the desired axial direction. The frame can be disposed in a substantially flush or otherwise compact manner to improve the aesthetic appearance of the mechanism and allow for a more compact and cost-effective knob.

  • Patent number: 11158013
Abstract: In one embodiment, a processing device receives a request to claim ownership of a first hosted media item on a first media sharing platform, wherein the request is received from a rights holder that holds one or more rights to a claimed media item that is incorporated into the first hosted media item. The processing device adds an indicator of the ownership of the rights holder to a first entry for the first hosted media item in a data store. The processing device determines that a second hosted media item having a threshold similarity to the first hosted media item is hosted by a second media sharing platform. The processing device automatically adds an indicator of the ownership of the rights holder to a second entry for the second hosted media item without receiving a separate request to claim ownership of the second hosted media item.

  • Patent number: 10590770
Abstract: A reversing mechanism for a pneumatically or hydraulically powered tool having a rotor adapted to rotate in either of first and second rotational directions. The reversing mechanism allows a user to actuate a button and rotate a valve to direct air flow through the tool. By pressing the button, the button will move a base laterally, and in doing so, rotates the valve. Rotating the valve then aligns a barrier of the valve in a direction tangential to the selected rotational direction of the tool, better directing forced air or fluid and more efficiently distributing the air or fluid in the selected rotational direction.

  • Patent number: 10328564
Abstract: Mechanisms for reducing power output of a power tool by restricting airflow into the motor of the tool. The power regulator can be implemented in only one of the rotational directions, for example, the forward (or clockwise) direction, and can be independent of the forward/reverse mechanism to avoid a user becoming confused as to the source of tactile feedback. By limiting air input to the motor, rather than bleeding out motor output, the mechanisms prevent wasted power output. Also, the power regulation mechanism can be located near the motor to more effectively restrict airflow.

  • Publication number: 20180361598
Abstract: A knife with line cutter generally includes a knife blank having a main blade on one end and a line cutter on the opposing end of a tang. The line cutter has a sharpened edge on the inner curve of a hook at the end of the tang, and may extend from the handle or be recessed within the end of the handle. The tang may comprise a tang extension that allows the line cutter to transition from a retracted position to an extended position outside of the handle. The extension assembly may include a spring and/or a locking mechanism. Alternatively, the line cutter is a recessed diagonal blade. A method of forming a knife with line cutter generally includes forming a knife blank comprising a blade, tang, and line cutter; forming a handle; and securing the knife blank to the handle.
