  • Patent number: 11744914
Abstract: A novel purification device is provided which projects Ultra-Violet wavelength light to create curtain-like beams that impair germs and pathogens exposed thereto or passing through the beams. A preferred embodiment described herein is comprised of a powered Light Emitting Diode to produce light, mounted edgelight-fashion onto an optically clear substrate light guide that has clear remote outer edges for light projection. Substrate utilized herein is an optically clear sheet such as acrylic that guides the edge-mounted L.E.D. produced Ultra-Violet wavelength light to its remote edges, projecting it outwardly through surrounding air and onto surfaces in light beams emitting from edges of the substrate, projected in suitable strength and wavelength UV-C to create a curtain-like partition, a barrier deadly to airborne or surface germs, and renders germs exposed to the light dead, damaged or inert.

  • Publication number: 20120217153
Abstract: A pulse width encoded switching power supply, which may be electrically connected to an electroluminescent (EL) material is described. The power supply exploits both mechanical and electronic resonance principles to provide maximum emission from EL phosphor crystals using an LC tank circuit power supply design at specific frequency to maximize photon emission. Other possible applications are also described.

  • Patent number: 5136911
Abstract: An exercise device for musicians is provided which effects the forcible spreading of the fingers and thumb of the hand by a series of rings mounted upon two track-like members, upon the first track being four finger rings, and upon the second track being a ring for the thumb, each ring being movable along its track and having locking device for the purpose of positioning the thumb and fingers into forcibly spread-apart positions, and locking that position such that the musician can increase the operable reach of the hand.

  • Patent number: 5123432
Abstract: A double-ended hand held flossing tool with stressing means is provided which uses a loop of floss made integral with the frame members of the tool, and provides stressing action through fingertip manipulation of the members. The loop is integral and structural to the tool, thus my tool design gains the advantage of stability by virtue of two members being integral with a floss loop molded directly into the construction of the frame members of the tool.

  • Patent number: 5113961
Abstract: Two wheels of different modes are provided which add guidance capabilities to air cushioned vehicles. A tractor utilizes the wheel of the first mode, a wheel mounted upright upon a hollow tubular hub, being a half-torus. A trailer utilizes the wheel of the second mode, a wheel mounted upright upon a sphere which is cut off at the base to allow for ample platform clearance. Both vehicles are air cushioned, enabling them to hover above a support surface. Steering is affected by directing the tractor vehicle with the aid of a novel curved gear series on the inside rim of the wheel of the first mode. Twisting action upon the rim and wheel resulting from stress created between the steering sprocket and a drive sprocket, being synchronized when normal by a timing belt. The steering sprocket is effected by operator control and encounters the curved portions of the special gear teeth, thereby causing the tractor to turn. The wheels of both modes can be tilted by the operator's actions.

  • Patent number: 5056404
Abstract: In a stringed instrument which generates sound reproduction output signals by way of a transducer which are amplified for sound reproduction, a fundamentally correct note frequency signal is generated and electromagnetically broadcast by cycles of electromagnetic energy directly from a metallic string to be tuned to the transducer of the instrument, and blends with a correlated note as it issues from the same said vibrating metal string to be tuned, and through discernment by the ear of the user of the resulting blended signal the string is adjusted as necessary to match the two notes and therefore the string is quickly and easily brought into tune with the fundamentally correct note frequency, and when repeated upon each string of said instrument the task of tuning is done.

  • Patent number: 5016025
Abstract: A mounting adaptor is provided for use with a standard electric utility meter base, or the like, upon which a typical instant-picture camera is mounted and focused upon a meter to be read. The instant-picture camera is set up with triggerable activation means to automatically produce a photograph of said meter to be read. A timer is in communication with the camera activation means, and at given intervals will trigger the instant-picture camera to photograph the meter to be read, thereby producing a photographic document of the reading, and then automatically deposit the finished document into a security compartment of the mounting adaptor apparatus, after which the document may then be collected at a convenient time by one authorized to access said compartment.
