  • Publication number: 20150089907
Abstract: A centrifugal spark arrestor having a main body portion with a first end and a second end spaced from one another. The main body has an interior wall defining a flow path for the flow of air through the main body and a longitudinal axis. An inlet is positioned at the first end and extends generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The inlet is in operative communication with the flow path. An outlet is positioned at the second end; the outlet is in operative communication with the flow path. At least one baffle is positioned within the main body portion between the first and second ends, partially extending into the flow path. Air is pulled into the inlet and forced initially in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and against the interior wall. The air is forced through the main body portion to the outlet in a centrifugal flow path. The baffle is engaged by the air flowing through the main body portion with any particles entrained within the air impinging upon the baffle.

  • Publication number: 20140366882
Abstract: Apparatus for providing positive airway pressure therapy to the airways of a patient includes a mask, a gas delivery conduit coupled to the mask, and a vent located in the mask or near the mask in the gas delivery conduit, to allow washout of exhaled carbon dioxide. The vent includes a plurality of vent orifices, the vent orifices being constructed and arranged to be open in use at least during the inhalation and exhalation phases of the user's breathing cycle. Each of the vent orifices being molded into a surface as a curved flow path from an interior of the mask or gas delivery conduit to atmosphere so that a vent flow from each of the orifices is directed in different directions, into one another, and/or slightly offset from one another to create diffuse air flow.

  • Publication number: 20140366719
Abstract: The present invention provides an air filtering system and method that continuously monitors and samples the air to measure the amount or concentration of suspended particulate matter in an area. Based on the information collected the air filtering system determines the need for and the amount and volume of air filtering that is required. In this way, the air filtering system only operates at the needed capacity to filter the air, and dynamically responds in real time to the fluctuating air contamination levels that occur during various work processes within the space, room or building.

  • Publication number: 20140332226
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for diverting fluids either into or from a well are described. Some embodiments include a diverter conduit that is located in a bore of a tree. The invention relates especially but not exclusively to a diverter assembly connected to a wing branch of a tree. Some embodiments allow diversion of fluids out of a tree to a subsea processing apparatus followed by the return of at least some of these fluids to the tree for recovery. Alternative embodiments provide only one flowpath and do not include the return of any fluids to the tree. Some embodiments can be retro-fitted to existing trees, which can allow the performance of a new function without having to replacing the tree. Multiple diverter assembly embodiments are also described.
