Patent number: 6575764Abstract: A contact element and a contact means comprising at least one contact element where the contact element comprises electrical contact means renders displaceable, such as translatable or rotatable, by a resilient means in which the conductor is at least partly embedded and through a surface of which the contacting means is exposed. This resilient means provides a contact element in which the contacting means may compensate for an unintentional displacement by one forcing the other in a given direction, via the resilient means. Also, the displacement may bring about a cleaning action between the contacting means. These means may be used both for disconnectable connections and rotatable, unconnnectable connections.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2000Date of Patent: June 10, 2003Assignee: Reipur Technology A/SInventor: John Reipur

Publication number: 20010000212Abstract: A rechargeable battery includes one or more rechargeable cells and means for providing information to control charging. Information is provided in a form for being read or sensed by mechanical, optical, electromagnetic, or electronic techniques including combinations of these techniques. The information may indicate battery performance history, present state of the battery, and parameters for how it may be charged. As to performance history, the information may include, for the battery or a cell of the battery, indicia describing: one or more previous charging or discharging processes, of the last charging process, of the last discharging process, of the time period lapsed since the last charging or discharging process. The information may include indicia of the present charge state and condition of the battery or its individual cells.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2000Publication date: April 12, 2001Inventors: John Reipur, Ebbe Juul-Hansen

Patent number: 6213775Abstract: An implant to be inserted into a bore or recess (22) of a bone, such as a jaw bone (23), comprises a radially expandable tubular member (12) which is preferably made from a helically wound string or wire, and a core member (13) to be positioned within the tubular member. The core member (13) may be moved axially in relation to the tubular member (12) so as to expand the tubular member radially, whereby the implant may be efficiently fastened. The core member (13) may be screwed into the outer tubular member (12) or into an anchoring member (11) arranged at the inner end of the recess (22). The implant is relatively easy to remove if such removal should become necessary by radially contracting the tubular member (12).Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 1999Date of Patent: April 10, 2001Assignee: Reipur Technology A/SInventor: John Reipur

Patent number: 5864220Abstract: In order to optimally control the charging of a rechargeable battery of one or more cells to ensure that full and rapid charge is achieved without damaging the battery, a maximum safe value (or sequence of values during the charging process) for one or more charging parameters is determined during a test charge, and subsequent charges of the battery are performed without exceeding the predetermined maximum value(s) for the charging parameter(s). Among the charging parameters contemplated for use are: the charging voltage potential placed across the battery terminals, the charging current supplied to the battery, the temperature of the battery cell and internal pressure of the battery cell as well as rates of changes of the parameters.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1997Date of Patent: January 26, 1999Assignee: Chartec Laboratories A/SInventors: John Reipur, Ebbe Juul-Hansen

Patent number: 5797392Abstract: An inhaler comprises a tubular body in which an air flow passage is defined. A single dose of an active, inhalable, particulate substance is arranged within the air flow passage and is sealed or closed in relation to the ambient atmosphere by closure means, such as removable caps, a section of the flow passage extending from a free mouthpiece end of the tubular body along a major part of the total length of the flow passage is preferable 7-35 mm.sup.2, for example about 20 mm.sup.2. The inhaler may be adapted to be used only once, and the tubular body of the inhaler may be a length of a simple tube similar to a drinking straw.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 1997Date of Patent: August 25, 1998Assignee: Direct-Haler A/SInventors: Erik Keldmann, John Reipur

Patent number: 5690823Abstract: A filtration medium made from a plurality of solid fibers aligned in the same direction and packed and bundle together and compressed at a portion thereof by a retainer member, and a displacement member disposed inside the packed fibers forming close packed aligned fibers defining a fluid flow passages between the fibers having a cross-sectional area capable of retaining particles from a fluid passing therethrough.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1995Date of Patent: November 25, 1997Inventors: John Reipur, Hans Olsen

Patent number: 5619118Abstract: A rechargeable battery is charged by connecting the terminals of the battery to an electrical power source. In order to avoid overcharging and undue temperature increase in the battery cell, the course of a least one charging parameter, such as the increase rate of voltage, is surveyed during at least part of the process of charging the battery. This charging parameter surveyed is compared with a number of reference parameter courses representing idealistic or desireable processes of charging the battery for different starting states of charge of the battery. Such comparisons may for example be made by means of a microprocessor, which may also select the reference course with a starting state of charge similar to the actual starting state of charge of the battery. Thereafter the process of charging the battery may be controlled so as to approximate the course of said charging parameter to the selected reference course. The charging voltage may be limited to a maximum value (Vmax).Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1993Date of Patent: April 8, 1997Assignee: Chartec Laboratories A/SInventors: John Reipur, Ebbe Juul-Hansen

Patent number: 5234605Abstract: A method and apparatus for filtering a fluid flowing from a fluid supply duct in a first direction through a filtering medium in which separate solid particles or concentrate are released from the filtering medium by a back-flush. The method and apparatus has a moving means, such as a diaphragm, which receives the pressure of the fluid at both the inlet and outlet of the filter. In response to a changing pressure, such as by opening of an outlet valve, the moving means operates, e.g., the diaphragm changes its position, and operates to send a supply of the fluid through the filter medium in a second direction which is opposite to the normal first direction of fluid flow.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 1991Date of Patent: August 10, 1993Inventors: John Reipur, Hans Olsen

Patent number: 4651760Abstract: A toothpick made from plastic for manual removal of film on teeth and for stimulation of the gum is upwardly curved at its pointed end portion (1) to prevent the pointed end from penetrating the gum, which may often occur, especially in case of negative papillae. Furthermore an underlying, longitudinal notch (3) is provided above the back portion (4), which allows the toothpick to be compressed in its transverse direction, and which moreover allows room for the gum in case of normal as well as damaged papillae.Furthermore, transverse flaps (5) on both sides of the toothpick are provided, in order that these may strike the tooth surfaces efficiently, even where particles from repair work on teeth may remain and fill the spaces between the teeth. To facilitate easy orientation and operation, the toothpick has been provided with an upwardly projecting plate (6) towards its rear portion.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 1985Date of Patent: March 24, 1987Inventor: John Reipur
