Publication number: 20230205976Abstract: A method for selecting and serving a content item includes serving a script to a client device in response to a request, where the script is configured to determine a size of a viewport, determine a width of a parent element of a resource, and determine a content item size based, at least in part, on the size of the viewport and the width of the parent element. The method also includes receiving information indicative of the determined content item size, determining a set of content items based, at least in part, on the received information indicative of the determined content item size, selecting a content item from the determined set of content items, and serving data to effect display of the selected content item in the parent element with the resource.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2023Publication date: June 29, 2023Inventors: Graeme John Rimmer, Lewis Jay Hemens

Patent number: 11610045Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically determining a content item size may be based on a size of a viewport and a width of a parent element. A script may be configured to determine a size of a viewport, determine a width of a parent element of a resource, and determine a content item size based, at least in part, on the size of the view port and the width of the parent element. A dimension of the determined content item size may be used by a content item selection system to determine a set of content items. A content item selection system may select a content item from the determined set of content items and serve data to effect display of the selected content item in the parent element with the resource.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 2021Date of Patent: March 21, 2023Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: Graeme John Rimmer, Lewis Jay Hemens, Gaurav Bhaya, Robert Stets

Patent number: 11506171Abstract: A wind turbine blade mould extending longitudinally in a spanwise direction and transversely in a chordwise direction is provided and a spar cap (134, 136) is laid the mould. The spar cap comprises a plurality of strips (138) extending longitudinally in the spanwise direction and arranged side-by-side in the chordwise direction, said strips comprising one or more intermediate strips (158) arranged between peripheral strips (160, 162) which are inclined relative to the intermediate strips. A shear web (126) comprising a flange (130a) extending longitudinally in the spanwise direction is provided, the flange comprising a base (144) defining a primary bonding surface (164). A chordwise width of the primary bonding surface corresponds substantially to a chordwise width of the intermediate strips of the spar cap. The primary bonding surface of the flange is bonded to the one or more intermediate strips of the spar cap.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2019Date of Patent: November 22, 2022Assignee: Vestas Wind Systems A/SInventors: Jonathan Smith, John Rimmer

Patent number: 11383454Abstract: Improvements relating to wind turbine blade manufacture A method of making wind turbine blades of variable length is described. The method involves forming first and second half shells of a main blade section in a main blade mould assembly. A pre-manufactured tip section is selected from a plurality of tip sections of different lengths according to a total length requirement for the wind turbine blade. The tip section is supported adjacent to the main blade mould assembly such that an inboard end of the tip section overlaps with an outboard end of one of the half shells of the main blade section. The main mould assembly is then closed to bond the two main half shells together and to bond the tip section to the main blade half shells. The invention allows blades of different overall length to be produced using a common main blade mould assembly.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2019Date of Patent: July 12, 2022Assignee: Vestas Wind Systems A/SInventors: Jonathan Smith, John Rimmer

Patent number: 11384931Abstract: A combined lighting and speaker device having a central longitudinal axis defining a forward and a rearward direction and a radially outward and a radially inward direction is provided. The device comprises a tweeter; a tweeter horn positioned radially outwardly of the tweeter; a speaker positioned rearward of the tweeter horn; and a light emitting diode, LED, assembly positioned radially outwardly of the tweeter. The LED assembly comprises one or more light emitting diodes, LEDs, and a lens having a forward surface. The tweeter horn has an inner edge in communication with an outer edge of the tweeter, so that the tweeter horn forms a guide to direct sound produced by the tweeter away from the speaker when in use. At least part of the tweeter horn is provided by the forward surface of the lens.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2019Date of Patent: July 12, 2022Assignee: Zuma Array LimitedInventors: Morten Warren, Fong Ming, Laurence Dickie, Philip John Rimmer, John Daniell Hebert, Ed Rose

Patent number: 10433379Abstract: Several aspects of power distribution systems are described. One aspect relates to apparatus for providing a direct current to a load comprising one or more light emitting diodes. The apparatus comprises: a rectifier operatively connectable to a secondary winding of a transformer whose primary winding is for carrying a high-frequency alternating current; a first capacitor operatively connectable to the secondary winding; and a second capacitor operatively connectable, at least partly via the rectifier, to the secondary winding. The first and second capacitors together provide a reactance referred to the primary winding which substantially compensates for the reactance of the primary winding.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2018Date of Patent: October 1, 2019Assignee: Greengage Lighting LimitedInventor: Philip John Rimmer
