Abstract: An improved housing for an electric toothbrush is disclosed. The improved housing provides two symmetrically positioned gripping members which assist the user in grasping the toothbrush particularly during brushing. Each of the gripping members includes a recessed gripping region having particular dimensional characteristics. The two gripping members are symmetrically arranged on the rearward sides of the toothbrush so that the brush may be used by both left-handed and right-handed individuals. A third gripping member may also be provided along the housing of the toothbrush.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a denture adhesive composition comprising mixed salts of an alkyl vinyl ether-maleic acid or anhydride copolymer and/or terpolymer with isobutylene wherein the mixed salt contains a cationic salt function comprising at least about 1% strontium cations, from about 1% to about 40% of zinc cations, from 0% to about 2.5% of a cation selected from the group consisting of iron, boron, aluminum, vanadium, chromium, manganese, nickel, copper, yttrium, titanium, and mixtures thereof; from about 36% to about 60% free acid component; and from 0% to about 65% of a cation selected from the group consisting of magnesium, calcium, and mixtures thereof. In addition, the present invention relates to denture adhesive compositions comprising the above composition and at least one non-adhesive self-supporting layer.

Abstract: A toothbrush kit is disclosed comprising a package, a toothbrush, one or more removable end caps adapted for engaging an end of the toothbrush, and one or more emblems that may be adhesively attached to the toothbrush. Also disclosed are methods for selectively customizing a toothbrush by use and selection of components contained in the kit. Additionally disclosed are methods for manufacturing and packaging the components of the toothbrush kit. Furthermore, a strategy is disclosed for specifically tailoring the toothbrush kit for particular markets, geographic regions, or consumer groups.
