  • Publication number: 20240045067
Abstract: An apparatus for obtaining oceanographic information includes a controllable coherent light source providing light to an aquatic region. A telescope receives backscattered light that is filtered by an ambient light filter. A first interferometer receives filtered, backscattered light and provides a particulate backscatter output and a Brillouin backscatter output. A second interferometer accepts the Brillouin backscattered light and spatially disperses it according to frequency into a fringe pattern. An image sensor receives the fringe pattern. A processor joined to the image sensor utilizes image sensor output properties to determine oceanographic information concerning the aquatic region.

  • Patent number: 11883955
Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for performing a power-on self-test for a braking system in an autonomous delivery robot are described. One technique includes moving each wheel of the autonomous delivery robot in a first direction in accordance with predefined criteria, while brake module(s) of the braking system are engaged to one or more of the wheels to stop movement of the one or more wheels. A first amount of movement of at least a first wheel that is engaged to a first brake module is determined. Upon determining that the first amount of movement satisfies a predetermined condition, a determination is made that the braking system has failed the test and the brake module(s) of the braking system are kept in an engaged state.

  • Publication number: 20230413003
Abstract: The various systems and methods disclosed herein provide an enhanced audio experience in a virtual environment. In some implementations of the system and method for enhancing audio, a user forms a group with one or more desired audio sources in a virtual environment, and audio coming from sources outside of the group are filtered to become less obtrusive. In some implementations, causing non-group audio to become less obtrusive is accomplished by lowering its perceived volume.

  • Publication number: 20230409494
Abstract: An apparatus and method for constraining access to memory using capabilities. Processing circuitry performs operations during which access requests to memory are generated, with memory addresses for the access requests being generated using capabilities that identify constraining information. Capability checking circuitry performs a capability check operation to determine whether a given access request whose memory address is generated using a given capability is permitted based on the constraining information. Memory access checking circuitry then further constrains access to the memory by the given access request in dependence on a level of trust. The given capability has a capability level of trust associated therewith, and the level of trust associated with the given access request is dependent on both the current mode level of trust associated with the current mode of operation of the processing circuitry, and the capability level of trust of the given capability.

  • Publication number: 20230310779
Abstract: Various control methods can indirectly determine incorrect connections between components in a respiratory therapy system. For example, errors in the connections can occur between a patient interface, a humidifier and/or a gases source. The methods can indirectly detect if a reverse flow condition exists or other error conditions. A reverse flow condition can occur when gases flows in a direction different from an intended direction of flow. The detection of the reverse flow condition can be indicative of likely errors in connections between the humidifier, patient interface and/or gases source.
